We discovered the hotel by chance while passing through (we actually wanted to go to the mountains) and stayed two nights, it was so beautiful there! The bungalows are beautifully furnished with high-quality materials, the pool is very large and the various seating options around the pool invite you to relax. What we particularly liked is the attention to detail: a small gallery, the small shop, the beautiful pillows and pictures from various hill tribes from Thailand, the good music at the bar and the super fine Mexican-Thai food. As a guest you also receive a small painting set, which we immediately used to paint by the pool. You also have the opportunity to take part in painting workshops. The owners are very welcoming and the entire staff is top! We have stayed in so many hotels throughout Thailand, but this is by far the best and we will be returning again soon. The distance to the city of Chiang Mai is also a nice change... in the countryside and a beautiful environment and yet in about 30 minutes in the center of Chiang Mai by car. We can heartily recommend the hotel to everyone!Thank you very much for the lovely and far too short time with you :)

Me & my partner went for some massages for her birthday and it was incredible. Everyone was so friendly and they went above and beyond. They all said happy birthday to her, she even had happy birthday sang to her & was given flowers. I cannot recommend this place enough, beautiful views and beautiful friendly people. We even got some tea & fruit after our massages. Thank you all so much

Just had the most beautiful day getaway for our anniversary at this gorgeous resort. We will definitely return any day or night we can! The food was delicious, the space lovely and peaceful, and the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. If you’ve lived in CM a while, this is such a relaxing place away from it all. No noise or fume pollution at all (out of smog season). Prepare yourself for a bit of “off roading” along the rice paddies, but makes an idyllic view. My husband especially enjoyed his mixed drink and massage. Such quality for an incredible price!

The most incredible place to escape the city and enjoy a little slice of paradise. Surrounded by rice fields just outside of Chiang Mai city you will be able to relax and enjoy the most La Bonita has to offer. An incredible Thai and Latin fusion menu, the Thai Carne Asada was my partner and I’s favourite. There is also an art studio with many different art activities always going on. While we were there, there was a sketch group in as well as a macrame class. Each room gets a small amount of art supplies to try out and you can even buy some in their shop. The owners are both great incredibly kind and went out of their way to make sure we had the best time possible.

Just a lovely place!||Nestled up against the Doi Saket, swaddled by rice paddies, classic Thai vistas, beautifully appointed villas. ||Great food! Great service! ||And their puppy, Tam Yon, is the cutest ever.||We loved La Bonita and you will too.

Highly recommend this boutique earthy art resort. With only 5 cabins it was a wonderful escape from the city. The restaurant on-site with Cuban-Thai fusion was really tasty. Great complimentary breakfast options but great lunches and suppers as well. Wonderful margaritas too :)The pool is deep, big, and really clean.The rooms are large, beautiful, and clean. The tub is divine!

I've been taking 'staycations' around Chiang Mai for 10 years and never have I ever experienced the degree of care, service, beauty, attention to details that la Bonita offers. It was truly a magical stay, full of Latin music, food and colors. The owners are Mexican-Cuban-American designers and architects and their place is truly unique AND offers art classes, ukulele groups, movie nights, flower arrangement weekend and so much more! The beds are incredibly comfortable (rare in Thailand), the views are beautiful - I almost feel I don't want to give away the secret because I get a feeling there going to be completely booked forever.Thank you so much Jameel and Hilcia and Tik and Joy, Tony, the whole team!!!

This beautiful resort will be one I return to again and again! 💗La Bonita has it all: a wonderful remote getaway with gorgeous rooms, delicious food and super-friendly staff.I was particularly impressed with the artistic elements that are all around you. The vibrant color scheme throughout the resort is just breathtaking. I tried my hand at watercolors (included in the room), and had great fun spying on the hummingbirds in the lookout point.My friends enjoyed the cocktails at the bar while I enjoyed expertly crafted coffee drinks. I shared the "buddy room" with a good friend and had a wonderful night's rest in a cool room. Woke up to a sunrise over the mountain range and tried to paint it.I think I need more art lessons...but the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Churros-style waffles.. OMG 😳 🤤

La Bonita is a gem! Tucked out among the rice fields east of Chiang Mai, in the area of Doi Saket, it's close enough for an easy staycation for those of us living in Chiang Mai, or a day visit for a meal and swim, or a longer visit for people flying in for the week.The room: has THE most comfortable bed we've ever slept in, with pillows that aren't too high, or too flat. The room is extremely well appointed with generous space for clothes. There's a huge, beautiful bathtub with bath salts and bath bomb, plus a nice shower and two sinks. Everything in the room is free of charge - the minibar, the bath salts, and even art supplies to use while you're there - small squares of watercolor paper, a paint set with brush, and pencils. Each room has a nice veranda that looks out over a water feature, and across to the rice fields.The food is fantastic - a fusion of Latin/Cuban and Thai that works really well. We had the fish tacos, the grilled fish, crispy plantains with guacamole, and happy hour mojitas that they made custom for us without sugar. Breakfast was plentiful with very generous portions. There's a communal table in the middle of the dining area for people wanting to meet other travelers.The pool is really lovely - long enough for lap swimming, and with a shallow area for sitting. There's a sala (raised, covered area) that gets a great breeze, and is perfect for bird watching. There are bikes available for exploring.An artist's touch is everywhere - throw pillows made with local textiles; beautiful, hand-painted murals in the rooms and common areas; a nod to Thai traditional design with multi-colored glass panes; an art gallery,;and a little shop that sells locally made items. Check out their website for art classes offered in their studio, as well as their spa offerings.This is a special place, and you can feel the care the owners and staff have put into making the atmosphere calm, relaxing, creative and friendly.

I went for the day. Art class & meals. This property is stunning. I got a tour. The rooms are gorgeous. The food was incredible. And there are many peaceful spots to enjoy a quiet conversation, sunrise or sunset.The owners are so friendly, artistic, and hospitable. I highly recommend this place!

The best food I have ever had in Thailand along with the best environment, vibe and view!My friend and I just indulged in a big lunch and we ate every last bite. We could not believe how fresh, delicious and unique the food is.The Cubano sandwich needs to be a staple that everyone has to try when they come to Chiang Mai!We also had the quesadilla, chips and guacamole & Mexican street corn. We love that they use banana chips. Such a healthier alternative.Their butterfly pea tea is amazing too 😍Honestly hands down the best food you can find in Thailand and we can't wait to stay in one of their gorgeous and luxurious villas soon.The staff is so kind and attentive. We were grateful to speak to their very talented chef and manager.La Bonita feels like a home away from home and I plan to return many more times.Thanks so much La Bonita! 🌞

Stopped in on a day pass to enjoy the beautiful pool and some very tasty tacos. The property is absolutely stunning. The staff is friendly and very attentive. A tour of one of the beautifully decorated villas, which overlook rice paddies, offers a tranquil retreat just outside the city of Chiang Mai. I look forward to attending one of the many art workshops offered.There are many activities in and around the area.
