Not far from the very lively (and noisy) areas of Kaosan Road and Soi Rambuttri, Amarin Inn is a small, quiet guest house located in a narrow passage. A stone's throw from the pleasant park (with the Phra Sumen Fort) overlooking the Chao Phraya river and the Phra Athit pier (very practical for traveling by boat), this inexpensive establishment of modest appearance is quite correct, clean and very satisfactory value for money. The rooms are all simple but well appointed with good bedding, air conditioning, TV, wardrobe, small desk, private bathroom with shower and hot water, towels, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided. Breakfast is offered with fruit juice, toast, butter, jam, peanut butter, tea, instant coffee and chocolate. The small terrace at the entrance where you can have breakfast is a friendly place. The wifi works perfectly. The staff is attentive, pleasant and very welcoming. I would also like to take this particular opportunity to thank Kay, an extremely kind woman, always very attentive and who, each time I return to Bangkok, offers me a truly warm and caring welcome.I highly recommend Amarin Inn to all backpackers looking for peace and quiet and willing to spend a little more to sleep off Kaosan Rd, while still being close to this area which, without a doubt, offers the best choice of travel agencies at very competitive prices. The only slight drawback of this Guest house is the lack of natural light in the rooms given its location in a very narrow passage / alley, but, rest assured, even if the place is dark after dark, it is absolutely not not dangerous at all, on the contrary this place is very peaceful.Leaving the hotel, on Thanon Phra Sumen (at 52/4), excellent natural fruit juice stand, large choice on the menu but if you want to compose any other cocktail yourself, the owner is adorable and will be happy to prepare it before your eyes. Don't hesitate to ask her, she knows her neighborhood perfectly and will be able to advise you on good addresses (street restaurants, Thai massage, etc.).

Good for the price. Smallish rooms, but not terrible quality. And the AC was cold which is a big deal!

Good location, clean bed. The only problem was the mosquitos coming from the window even they had nets. The light in bathroom was too weak but not the worst.

Don’t expect luxury for this price however the lady behind reception was incredibly helpful and always sported a smile. I stayed for one night with my partner when passing through Bangkok. Convenient location and has the basics you need
