The male staff is obsessed with money and doesn't make you feel welcomed at all. I arrived at 4 pm to check in and he suggested me to take the bike and go out because he was sleeping, so I was outside for one hour and he charged me an entire day. I cooked for everyone in the hostel and he charged the other guests but didn't give me back any money I spent. I choose to stay in the dormitory even tho I paid for one night in a private room and didn't give me a discount. The day after I was taking 5 minutes to shower and he started turning the light on and off. He won't turn the AC on in the dormitory until the Japanese guys went to sleep. Overall he is obsessed with money and will take advantage of your kindness which he obviously sees as stupidity. The other guests were really noisy and drunk it felt like a European hostel. He obviously doesn't like foreigners unless they are female solo travelers. I also suspect he is taking advantage of the staff. Overall, just avoid this place unless you want to have to check out before the end of your stay out of stress or anger.

Supermarket and bus stop are 1 minute walk away! It's a long walk to the downtown area, but you can make good use of the bus.The inn had a homely feel, and the owner was very communicative and kind, telling us about sightseeing spots and other places.I was able to have dinner for a few hundred yen if I wanted, which was very helpful.

The room was a little small, but it was enough for just sleeping. The location is very convenient as there is a supermarket and a bus stop right in front.Basically, meals are not included, but if you wish, you can participate in dinner that day. (Meal costs will be split at the end based on the number of people)We work together from preparing meals to cleaning up. “Yuntaku” transcends age, gender, and nationality, and I really enjoyed it.Also, it was very helpful for me to be able to learn a lot of information about the island. The most enjoyable part of my trip was the time I spent here.Thank you very much.

It's nice to be able to park a rental car easily. If you have free time, you can wander around the supermarket right in front of you. If you wish, you can have your meal, although it will be ready around 9pm. Prices range from 300 to 900 yen, which includes the cost of ingredients for the day. You will be asked, "What does everyone call you?" and will be called by that name from then on. The shower is good. The air conditioner is only turned on when you go to bed. It's hot.

The atmosphere is the worst. It's obvious that everyone but young women is not welcome. I had a bad feeling about the number of 1-star reviews, so I regret that I should have stopped. When I first arrived, I went to the entrance, but the owner, who was relaxing in Yuntaku's room, was sure to have noticed, but he ignored me. Even when I called out to greet them, they ignored me. A few seconds later, a female staff member came out from the back and explained everything. The atmosphere of the explanation at this time would be just about passable if they were just staying at a cheap hotel, but I can't imagine that Yuntaku's selling points were the interaction and friendliness. A man who seemed to be a friend of the owner was making a lot of noise in the Yuntaku room, and I was surprised to find that his intimidating atmosphere made the guests feel very hesitant when using the shared facilities. It's fine if you just want to stay at a cheap hotel, but there are many other hotels in the same price range with good locations.

Regarding the locationIt's about 30 minutes away from arcades and other places that tourists go to.There was no problem since there was a supermarket right next door.As for Wi-Fi, it often doesn't connect, so it's better not to have high expectations. As for the noise at night, it's quite noisy at times (especially after 8 o'clock around dinner time), so if you don't eat dinner together and go to bed right away, and you tend to be bothered by voices, be sure to wear earplugs or earphones. is good. (Excluding single-person rooms) There are times when the volume of voice is a concern even for people who don't care.By the way, I haven't heard about the lights-out time. Those who are early in the morning may find it a bit difficult. Dinner is late so it will probably be noisy until it's finished.A single room is probably best for sensitive people. This is because if you do that, you won't have to think particularly delicately about relationships between people. If you are someone who stays at a hostel all the time and are looking for the comfort of a hostel, I think this is the place for you.I feel that this inn is more for people who go out during the day and come back at night.I think it's probably hard to stay there all day long because the bed is so small. This is a guesthouse, so of course the bathrooms and toilets are shared.I often interact with people, but if you don't want to interact with people, you don't have to force yourself to talk, and I think it's okay to act like that.Especially when taking a shower, you have to clean your own hair, and it's difficult to separate trash. Also, there are no amenities such as towels or toothpaste, so if you can't stand such things, it's best to stay away.On the other hand, what kind of person is suitable for this is someone who is used to living in a guest house and who doesn't normally live in an inn. I think people who don't have to worry about interacting with people while traveling will enjoy it a lot. Actually I'm satisfied. As for the male owner, I don't really know. No one was overbearing. We may not have met by chance. The female owner may be difficult to get along with at first, but she is very sincere and will take your advice seriously, and if you tell her what you are worried about during your trip, it will be easier to solve the problem and make your trip more rewarding.Dinner will also begin around 8 o'clock. If you want to eat before 7 o'clock, it's better to eat. The taste is delicious, and they serve homemade food for 500 to 800 yen. Of course, since it's cheap, guests will have to help out with some housework, but that's okay.As for dinner, you should avoid it if you want to eat something unique to Ishigaki.Generally, the food served is similar to what you would eat at home.If you want to use the kitchen for dinner, eat by 7 o'clock at the latest, or after 9 o'clock. There is only a washroom on the first floor, so the second floor (no soap/small washstand attached to the toilet)I think it's better to wash your face on the first floor, and brush your teeth on the first floor.I felt that the laundry drying area was large enough that even people who do marine sports could dry their clothes. There is also a clothesline in the room where you can dry your clothes. As for the customer base, I felt that there were a lot of older men, then older women, and finally young children. It was very awkward to have a dinner party with only old people, so it would be better for young children to have dinner when there are younger children. However, since the owner is there, I don't think it will be a problem.By the way, can you help me? People staying for a short period of time gather at night. You might wonder, since they get together every night. The helpers are also nice people to talk to and have a lot of information. I'm sure it will be useful.By the way, I was renting a bicycle for 500 yen.The female owner's face is wide.

It is important that you get along well with the owner. Kansai people (I think they were from Osaka) are strong-willed and tend to give directions. I thought I was changing the way I looked at people and interacted with them. Also, because of this atmosphere, the people who gather there are of the same level of civility, so I think it will be a good fit or a bad fit.During the high summer season, when guests cannot fit into the regular bedrooms, it is said that they are famous for sleeping in the living room, which serves as a place to relax. It's definitely not possible for me, but (again) I think it's good for people who enjoy that kind of atmosphere. The bed I used was a bunk bed, and although it wasn't as comfortable as a business hotel, I felt it was more comfortable than the futons at Hateruma's minshuku.Although the location is far from the downtown area, there are a limited number of bicycles available for rent, making it easy to get to the downtown area at night.
