I stayed in a room with a jacuzzi!During your stay, whenever you like, you can soak in the jacuzzi while looking at the sea in Yaeyama, and you will feel very elegant and happy (*^^*)1 minute walk to a private beach with table chairs. It's a very nice hotel with showers even if it gets dirty (^-^)

During the coronavirus pandemic, this hotel defrauded me of the cancellation fee. I was really impressed. I've traveled to Ishigaki many times, but this is the first time I've been to a hotel like this.

Please pay close attention to what is confirmed by the hotel when booking. We were traveling as a family of 4 people. We booked for 4 guests. Despite the booking system, only 1 person was confirmed in the room with 2 double beds. However, this was only noticed upon arrival. After a long back and forth, we wanted to book the 3 additional people. That would also have been possible, but the hotel wanted to have the confirmed price multiplied by 4.The booking was €179.00 for the 2-bed room per night. The new price was then 716.00 per night without breakfast or anything similar. We then left, the money was refunded in no time, and we booked the Hotel ANA Intercontinental.€440 per night for everything 4 guests including top breakfast, several pools, fitness room, free minibar with all the bells and whistles.By the way, the room for 4 people can still be booked for 179.00! Absolute disgrace! The hotel is not worth the money offered. The whole thing cost us 3 hours of time because the receptionist only came to us after 40 minutes of waiting to tell us that we had only booked for one guest through Agoda. Despite screenshots of the booking, nothing could be done with the hotel.

If you are travelling to Ishigaki, then Beach Terrace Hotel Ao is place you should consider staying in. This hotel is nestled just outside the busy city center so you can enjoy the peace and tranquility in the hotel garden or private beach while still being a short throw away from city. It is a perfect getaway from couples or families. We were only able to stay for one night in June but it was a highlight for our month long trip to southern Japan. It is definitely one of the best places we stayed in throughout our trip. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. All amenities are thoughtfully provided for the hotel guest to make sure you have a comfortable stay at the hotel. The facilities (jacuzzi, bath tub, beddings) in the room and around the hotel (swings, beach chairs, beach teepee) gives the guests a variety of options for spending a relaxing stay at the hotel. The hotel has a small restaurant with a range of food and drinks for the guest. The morning breakfast was amazing! We were given food meticulously packed into a nice picnic basket so that we could have the option to have it in the room or anywhere in the picturesque hotel grounds. The breakfast spread was ample and it was so scrumptious!! The care and effort to pack the food in different containers with the necessary utensils and condiments is truly impressive. This really shows the commitment by the hotel to see to the comforts of the guest.Travelling around Japan on month long trips these couple of years has made me appreciate the Japanese hospitality so much. At the Beach Terrace Hotel Ao Ishigaki, the attentiveness and care of hotel staff for the guest are of the highest standards. We are English-speaking but they go out of their way to understand our needs and provide them if they can.Overall, this is one of the best hotels I have gotten to stay in in Japan. My wife and I are outdoor and nature lovers so the private beach and garden adds a lovely touch to our hotel stay. The small hotel meant that we were able to connect with the staff and had friendly and cheerful interactions with them. The amenities and facilities at the hotel gave us a relaxing stay before we continued on our journey. Thank you so much Tetsu-san and all the staff at Beach Terrace Hotel Ao Ishigaki!is well-maintained

I visited Ishigaki Island on my honeymoon with my wife. This is my first trip to Ishigaki Island.I chose Ishigaki Island because I wanted to experience the feeling of being on a southern island.Ishigaki Island was more urban than I had imagined.I thought it was a more rural tropical island ^^;However, at Hotel Ao, I was able to experience a more tropical atmosphere than I expected! !The staff were also very kind!My wife was very satisfied and wanted to come here at least once a year.We stayed for two nights, and one night we went to Izakaya bars since it's close to the downtown area of Ishigaki Island, and the other night we had a barbecue at Hotel Ao.If you are going with a woman, I think you will be very pleased. There is a snorkeling shop called All Blue next to the hotel, and we were guided around the famous spots on Ishigaki Island by car and enjoyed snorkeling.I was very satisfied.

I enjoyed a private stay for two nights in December with no one else around. It's about a 10 minute drive from the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere. The location is great, right next to the beach, and there are hammocks in the garden. We had BBQ on the first night and a course meal on the second night. It was stylish and everything was delicious. The ajillo was especially delicious. I thought it was a nice touch to have breakfast delivered to my room in a basket. The freshly baked bread and soup were delicious. It was nice to have an indoor bath and an outdoor bath with a jacuzzi. I was able to relax while looking at the night sky. Amenities are also available.

It was great to be able to enjoy my private space, but while I was sleeping I was bitten by about 6 insects (mites?)...
