This budget hotel is worst than i expected. I don't usually mind staying in a budget hotel in Japan as I know that it is safe and clean. …

I was only here for 2 nights. The room is small, but there is enough space. Made in Japanese style. All the walls and furniture are already old and battered by life. There are no towels, but they are available for rent.  …

Well, the price point is spot on. But here's what you get. See pics. I wouldn't trust the bathroom or washrooms. Other places with a slightly higher price point have way cleaner facilities. The no smoking room still smells like smoke.

Love the place. More of a students lodging place though it welcomes everyone. It has shared baths rooms, spa, kitchen etc. everything is shared except your room. Still loved it for the price. Nothing fancy here. We were mostly out and just came to sleep and head out the next day. You can cook in the shared kitchen as well. Will definitely come back when in Osaka.

Good location, close to the JR and metro.Friendly and helpful staff, nice to have a kitchen and a common area. The room we had was a 2 bed western style.Spa looked cleaned. The shower room on the 2nd floor was very pleasant and clean! Schampoo body Lotion, etc. Even used laundry service 100 for 40min.Helpful staff, recommend to stay for 1-2 nights. Very quiet when we stayed here.Walking distance to the main attractions if you like walking 30min

The location is great just a couple of minutes walking from the train station. Front desk staff are very hospitable. There is no lift hence you need to consider your heavy luggage. The room is not sound-proof and you will clearly hear any outside the room. There is a bit of smelly things in the corridor

Stayed here for over 1 week in despair of finding a cheap place to stay and that had a good location, Hotel Taiyo fitted the check-boxes.To our arrival the room was ready, we got an western style, which was OK. Information about WiFi and check out was shared. To the room, it was small but okay. It took me 5 days and a cold to understand how to turn on the heater, but it works at least when you know the buttons. Some of our neighbours are loud as f and can't figure out how to lock the bathroom doors or lock there own room doors, I will include that 90% of these neighbours are men.Bathrooms are usable, it's shared. Minus that soap doesn't exist and no one washes their hands, except for me who brought my own soap in case if the hostel didn't have any. But I don't think booking mentions the non existens of soap. But they do have schampo and bodysoap in the shared shower rooms. When you wash your hands, It's only cold water, so it's bad...I did like Taiyo because of its location but I will never be sleeping here again for more than 3 days... It's dirty, even the common room and so on. I don't blame the staff, I think they are undermanned and try in their own way. On our third night the fire alarm happened so that gave us a scare. A note would have been sufficient about the incident.
