Worth the drive! Authentic onsen experience, with amazing views of a beautiful forested area, plus the ROOF ONSEN is spectacular! There is nothing better than relaxing outside in it and taking in the area. One of my favorite places during my year in Japan. I wish I could have stayed longer and gotten to try the food!

This is part of hostelling international and known as a hostel locally, but there are no dormitory rooms and they are more like a ryokan type that we have stayed in before; and the price reflects this at 3900 yen pppn, although a sharp …

Spacious and clean Japanese style rooms. Onsen a little dated but a joy to relax in after a long day, especially the roof top one. Good breakfast and very friendly owners.

The cost performance is the best. This is the perfect accommodation for those who are not particular about accommodation. The rice is very tasty, so be prepared (lol). It was not only the quantity, but also the taste. Even when I checked in soaking wet due to a sudden rain, they didn't make a bad face and even prepared newspapers for me.They also had a coin laundry, which was helpful. The building is old, but it's a really good inn for those who don't mind that. The temperature of the bath is rather hot (lol). The toilet and washroom are shared, so I think it's good for those who don't mind. It didn't bother us.

This meal at this price 🍽️! It was a great stay where I felt like I was working hard. Close to Kirishima Shrine, quiet at night. The meal was also voluminous. The lady at the reception and my mother were both kind people. I am traveling alone this time, but this guesthouse is recommended for solo tourists!

The room has a toilet and an open-air hot spring on the top floor♨️. It’s great to watch the stars while soaking in the hot spring. There is a paid washing machine, and you can wash your clothes in the hot spring after climbing the mountain. Kirishima Jingu Shrine is nearby. The boss is kind ❤️

I used it for a day trip on my way back from mountain climbing.Although it looks like the Showa era, it is fully equipped with showers and amenities. The open air can be seen from the neighborhood, but the hot spring ingredients seem to be strong and the hot spring flowers are floating in the water.

I ordered tempura bowl. The freshly fried batter made a crispy sound and was very delicious. The price is also reasonable.

Since the price was very low, I stayed there without expecting much. I was very satisfied with the delicious food and the pleasant hot springs. My kids said they would like to stay here again, so we will be staying here again on our next trip to Kirishima ☆ It was a nice and homey guesthouse!

It's a 5-minute walk from Kirishima Shrine, and it has a youth hostel and a guesthouse, so I used it as a youth hostel (general, not members). The price is 6,750 yen without amenities and includes local cuisine dinner and breakfast! Although the building is old, the food was great and the hot springs were very nice. The weather was nice on the day we stayed, and the rooftop open-air bath where you can relax while looking at the starry sky is the best! The location was good as the Shinsuikyo promenade was only a 5 minute walk away.
