I stayed for 4 nights in a single room. The tatami room was covered with thick blankets, and the hostess, who spoke fluent English, welcomed us. I wasn't good at English and wandered around alone, so I kept coming home late in the evening, so I couldn't have a deep conversation, but it was nice to feel that he wanted to take care of something for me. It was even better because the accommodation felt like a Japanese home.It's close enough to walk from Tenmonkan, and if you pass through the building in front of the accommodation, you can get on the tram right in front. You can also go to the ferry or aquarium by walking for about 20 to 30 minutes. Anyway, the location is okay.If there is a downside, is it the 4th or 5th floor? Having to walk up is a bit...I had a good rest, but I couldn't even say hello properly. Thank you.

I reserved a Japanese-style room for one person.The futon was already laid out.The door has a hole like a vent, so you can hear the sounds from outside. (Conversely, sounds from inside can also be heard outside)Even though it was a private room, it was difficult to make too much noise or play loud music.Please note that this door can be locked from the inside, but cannot be locked from the outside when you go out. (Assuming there are no malicious guests)The futon was soft and comfortable.However, there was no desk to work on the computer, so I either had to lie down, or there was something like a long chair, so I had to either sit there or use it as a stand to put my computer on, which was a little inconvenient. .

The walls are thin, so if you talk late at night, other customers will hear you.・The beautiful landlady who can speak English gave me a drink.・Convenient as it is near the ferry port going to Yakushima and Sakurajima・It's a little difficult to go up the stairs to the 4th floor.・For two-wheeled vehicles, please park at the nearby Kagoshima Bank motorcycle parking lot.150 yen from 6:30 to 23:30. (300 yen for one night stay)・Since it is on the 4th floor of the building, the water pressure in the kitchen is weak. (Yakushima has abundant water resources, so the water pressure is at its maximum. The tap water is sweet.)I was very happy to spend a good night at the community space.I learned a lot from the owner/proprietress explaining Kagoshima to the guests in English.How the guest house was born, the story of Hokkaido,I wanted to hear more stories, but I ran out of time.It seems that my friend, the owner from Hokkaido, is opening a guest house in Sakurajima.

Great hostel very conveniently located - the area is the best if you plan to travel by ferries. Also very close to Kagoshima nightlife areas. The building is scheduled for demolition in a few years - too bad because the projects that people arw running there are great, hope they could find another venue!Shoko is the warmest host ever - very dedicated, always with a beautiful smile, she let me check in without reservation in a cozy side room and was very helpul with my last minute change of plans.Highly recommended!
