Used on the way back from mountain climbingIt would have been nice to have a cold bath for icing.Unfortunately, it's not cold water, it's almost room temperature water.I was very disappointed even though there was supposed to be an abundance of natural water. There are no other competing facilities, so the prices are high.

Check-in to Jomon no Yado Manten as soon as you arrive, as it is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Yakushima Airport. As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by the warmth of wood and the scent of nature, creating a space that will make you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are simple but clean, and the windows overlook the lush garden. What I particularly liked was the spacious bath. I was able to slowly warm up my tired body and had a blissful time. For dinner, you can enjoy Japanese cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. In particular, the seafood from Yakushima was exceptional, and I was able to enjoy plenty of seafood. During the meal, the staff explained the ingredients and told us about the charms of Yakushima, which further deepened the enjoyment of the trip. The next morning, I woke up early and went to the hot springs. Watching the magnificent nature while soaking in the open-air bath as the sun rose in the morning was a luxurious moment that cannot be replaced by anything else.

Very nice hotel, especially the bath and restaurant. I asked for a Western style bed and got it. (I like a bed I can sit on).The bath has two hot pools, two cold pools, a sauna, and is enclosed in a fenced garden with chairs so you can sit outside with your body steaming. The restaurant has enclosed booths with sliding doors so you can eat in privacy. Japanese breakfast plus a nice buffet with coffee and croissants. So why only four stars? Look carefully at the photo: a transparent plexiglass barrier placed just above eye level in the hallway outside my room. I banged my head on it at least ten times. It really hurt! Sharp pain, obscenities, swearing to myself that I would remember to duck next time and then, because it was practically invisible, forgetting and banging my head again. I can't imagine why they put this damn thing there, but it caused me a lot of hurt.Get rid of that plexiglass obscenity and the hotel is perfect.

Use the hot springs for a day trip. On the last day of my stay in Yakushima, I was scheduled to take a flight departing at 7pm, but I deliberately arrived by bus at the airport around 4pm. I stayed until around 5:50 pm, and I was able to easily make it in time for check-in (although it's only a 1-minute walk from the airport, so this may be natural). I had taken Corihogus just before, and the fatigue from the Jomon Cedar trekking the day before was gone from my body. The rest space for mid-day breaks is a little far away, but it didn't bother me. The souvenir shop is more fashionable than the airport, so I think it's good for young people. If you're going to go, it's best to go now before Yakushima gets ruined due to the airport becoming a jet stream.
