The rooms are spacious and clean, with plenty of amenities. We especially recommend the hearty chicken rice for breakfast. The owner and his wife will be happy to help you with travel advice!

I stayed here while sightseeing in Amami Oshima. I think it's an inn that people either like or dislike.This is a small guesthouse located in a residential area about 20 minutes walk from the center of the island, and the first floor is the inn. It retains the charm of an old house, and is old at worst, retro at best. Generally, eating and drinking is not allowed in the rooms, but water, tea, coffee, etc. are provided in the common dining area, and you can also bring your own meals and snacks.The biggest disappointment is that there is only one bath, one toilet, and one sink for each of the five rooms (to be exact, there is another small sink in the changing room, but it cannot be used while using the bath). ), I couldn't use it when I wanted to.Also, depending on the other guests, it can be quite noisy. The owner was the first to warn us, but in vain, we heard the sound of a hair dryer being used in the next room around 11pm, and the sound of children's footsteps running down the hallway around the same time.Also, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the area, and I got bitten in several places just by washing and drying my swimsuit outside. (I didn't get stung indoors.)However, the great thing that more than makes up for the shortcomings is the hospitality of the owners. They gave us advice on travel plans, recommended places for dinner, and even called us. Thanks to that, our trip was certainly a wonderful and memorable one.In addition, if you choose the breakfast included option, you will receive a healthy breakfast with over 10 dishes made with carefully selected ingredients.In summary, although there are some issues with the facilities and soundproofing, the inn offers excellent hospitality and a carefully selected breakfast, so it is a guesthouse that can be recommended for those who don't mind the drawbacks.

It is run by a husband and wife team. The delicious breakfast may be a little pricey, but it's a must. I think it was a good thing that I came here without doing much research. I went to the place he told me about and had a lot of fun. I want to see you again.

It is located in the center of Amami City and has a parking lot. It's located almost in the center of the island, so I think it's perfect for a trip to Nishihehigashi.It was my first time visiting Amami and sightseeing in the western part of the island, but I was able to make some great memories.The proprietress' cooking using local ingredients was also excellent. I became even more of an Amami fan because I could feel their commitment to food that is full of local love!

The customer service from the owner couple was wonderful.For breakfast, I was able to enjoy Amami Oshima's local cuisine, ``chicken rice.''The soup stock, which took 8 hours to make, was exquisite, and although it was not greasy, it had a nice aftertaste and was delicious. The side dishes such as omelette with mozuku and sweet potato mochi are well-balanced and all delicious. I would also like you to drink Miki, which is made by fermenting rice.Anyway, the breakfast was very satisfying. It seems that airline pilots and flight attendants also stay here for this breakfast, which makes sense.Also, since I was going home early, I also received some spam rice balls.This was also delicious, freshly made, warm, and with just the right amount of salt.I would definitely like to visit Ata again and stay there.

We arrived by boat from Naha Port in Okinawa to Amami Nase Port, and can be reached on foot within 10 minutes from the port.The room has 1000% cozy Japanese home atmosphere and is well worth experiencing. (The amenities and toiletries provided are hotel-grade.)If I have the opportunity to visit Amami again, I would like to take my parents with me.For breakfast, you can order Amami's cuisine Keihan (鶏飯). (There are other menus as well)It is a dish where Amami native chicken, eggs, and various toppings are placed on top of rice, and then chicken broth boiled in Amami's brown sugar shochu is poured over for a long time. (It was boiled for over 8 hours)The accompanying side dishes are Japanese home-style and full of local ingredients, so you'll be very satisfied. In fact, Keihan alone was the main dish, but I was surprised to see menchi katsu served as well. I ate a lot and really enjoyed it.Amami's other restaurants may be delicious and full of sincerity, but the breakfasts were so good that I thought I didn't have to go to the restaurants I researched in advance, so I highly recommend them.It's fun to compare Korean food with Pyeongyang Onban (flat plate) because you can feel the characteristics of Amami, the center of Japan and Ryukyu, while being familiar with it. (Unlike Korea, it is located in the south, so papaya is used)
