homestay with a view surrounded by rice fields and also typical Minangkabau house architecture. the homestay is clean and very comfortable, suitable for a family vacation. the owner of the house is also friendly. recommended to stay at this homestay

Lovely traditional home stay with friendly hosts and delicious Padang meals. We got to experience rice planting, watching how Rebdang is made, finding cinnamon and cocoa trees and seeing the kids fish for our dinner from the pond. The village is very scenic with pretty gardens by the rice paddies, framed by high peaks and a view of stunnning Mt Marapi and its daily puffs of volcanic smoke. We leant a lot about local culture and it is close to caves and other interesting sights

The best homestay ever with tradisional vibes and great hospitality of the owner make me want to come here again.They said that i can do alot here in this village.they have rafting, hiking,caving and farming activities.Would love to come here again with my hole family.And the best experience is the cooking class (making rendang) and other tradisional foodThanks alot hostWait for US to come back there again

I stayed at the place for only one night, but I would have loved to stay longer if I had more time. It was an amazing experience! My mother had difficulty with stairs, but the hosts were very accommodating and helpful. They even offered us snacks upon arrival and breakfast the next morning. Although the location was a bit secluded, it was actually quite nice. It was better to arrive there before sunset, so we could take in the beautiful view of the rice fields and Mount Marapi longer. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

We recently had the pleasure of staying in the Rumah Gadang Tokama and we can't express enough how incredible our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the most warm and hospitable host family.The historic building itself was awesome. It felt like we had stepped back in time, surrounded by the history and timeless beauty of the place.What truly set this stay apart, however, was the extraordinary kindness and helpfulness of the host family. We were welcomed for 2 days by this super warm family!!! We felt very comfortable. It’s truly an adorable family who share their daily lives, and who make delicious food! We are in the middle of the rice fields. My husband was able to try his hand at mowing rice with them. We ate very, very well. Thank you again for your welcome!!! Such a lovely host family! They prepared delicious meals for our dinner and breakfast, and made sure that we’re having a great time.The place is very strategically located. A great spot if you’re looking for peace somewhere with good access to the city.Recommended to anyone exploring West Sumatra.Great experience! We’ll be back for sure :)

The accommodation is nice, clean, the environment is also beautiful, plus views of mountains and rice fields that we can enjoy from the window of the house or sitting outside. There we were also treated well and friendly🥰

The homestay is very homey. Complete facilities. Left and right surrounded by rice fields. The view is quite good. Mount Marapi can also be seen in the distance. The owner is friendly and the food is also delicious. The place is not far from the city center of Bukittinggi. Previously spent the night here after visiting Puncak Lawang and continued to Langkuik Tinggi waterfall in the morning. Overall, totally worth it!
