This is an inn that will make you want to come back again.It was my first trip to Yakushima, and I stayed with you for two nights.From the email stage after making the reservation, they kindly provided advice and made me feel at ease.Also, when I broke out in hives during my stay, they gave me medicine and lent me ice cream.During my stay, the weather was not good at all and I was starting to feel sad, but thanks to the couple's positive comments, I was able to spend my time thinking that even the rain and the ever-changing weather are attractive. It's done.On our last day, we had the owner show us around the island and enjoyed seeing places and scenery that we would not have been able to reach on our own.Even when I was upset because my flight home was cancelled, the couple offered me advice without making a bad face.The rooms and common areas are also very clean and neat. However, since the rooms are next to each other with sliding doors, you can hear some noise.If you are concerned, I think it would be a good idea to bring an eye mask and ear plugs (this is the same for all private lodging).I cannot thank Mr. Taguchi enough for the three days I spent with him.I will go back to see the starry sky, the blue sea, and the blue sky again, so please take care of yourself.With heartfelt gratitude and love.

When my wife was sick and was in bed, he brought me some miso.The miso made me feel relieved and a little more at ease.This is a low-priced guesthouse with very good service.

Immaculately clean and beautiful and run by two lovely hosts. So helpful and kind. Yakushima is stunning and this is a great place to stay. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this place for 1 night but could have easily stayed longer. Cute place owned by husband and wife Taguchi-san and Hitomi-san. They helped me find a rental car (which I would highly recommend for the island) after I was having a lot of trouble reserving one. We also had their home-made breakfast which was nutritious and delicious. The room while basic was clean, comfortable and had air conditioning. There were 2 shared bathrooms and separate toilets which were also kept very clean. Location is very near Miyanoura port. Highly recommend for an affordable clean place!

Great hosts, we booked the day before for two nights and thanks to them, we were able to do everything we wanted on the island: they advised us on good hikes, came to pick us up at the port, helped us to rent a car and find good restaurants. We saw monkeys, a tanuki and a sea turtle... A few big trees too... a dream this island 😊 The futons are very comfortable, everything is perfect, and a delicious Japanese breakfast (we didn't have was able to try the dinner because we booked last minute)! Just note that there is no coffee or tea, but that proves to me that I need to cure my caffeine addiction because it didn't stop me from having a great stay ☀️
