You can’t beat the location of the hotel. Of course it has more motel vibes and these reviews of the hotel are quite accurate. I wouldn’t recommend staying for more than a few nights as the location and overall tiredness of the hotel might grate on you. But overall, if you’re a young couple who are looking for a budget hotel right in the centre of things I would 100% recommend. The lobby is nice and the staff are friendly and even allowed us to check in early if we signed up to the loyalty program.

The place is at the third floor of a building with a Lawson shop at first floor. It is in the Shinjuku red district, so there are many girls who try to sell their services starting from 8-9 pm. Anyway we haven't been harassed. Our room was quite small, but clean. The staff is friendly and they speak English. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Staff is friendly and the hotel is based in a lively but sketchy area. It's next to the night clubs and host bars, and there are many questionable people hanging out near the hotel. It remains noisy at night, you'll hear cars and people all the time. Moreover, I've never slept on such an uncomfortable bed in my life before. The beds and pillows are outdated and rock hard, almost as if you're sleeping on a brick. I couldn't get any sleep and woke up everyday with a sore body.On a positive note, there is a convenience store located just below the hotel.

Nice enough place in the middle of Shinjuku, right next to golden gai. If you come back to the hotel late, like after 10pm, expect some rabble rousers nearby but generally you won't be harassed. The rooms are small but clean and the toilets are well equipped. Soaps smell very very nice.

I've stayed here for years mainly because it's convenient and cheap and generally clean and also because they have a good laundry room for doing your own laundry. However, they have now joined several other Japanese hotels in requiring that if you want your room cleaned you have to proactively let them know before 10AM, every single day of your stay, otherwise you're out of luck; they won't clean it. This is a terrible policy here and elsewhere. Maybe they're having trouble finding labor but don't gussy it up as some kind of "save the environment" thing. Part of staying in a hotel is being able to come back to a tidy room at the end of the day. When they did clean the room (i.e. when I remembered to tell them in time,) they did a nice job. I also used to warn people that the hotel is in the middle of a notorious red light district, but it's also an area now that's full of foreign tourists. There are many good, legit restaurants in the area, including many that are open til 5 or 6 AM (although many will charge you a "table fee" of $10 or so if you frequent them during wee hours so don't be surprised by this.) When it used to cost 1/3 of what it does now, it was a great deal. Now that it's kind of mid-priced, and especially with the new, horrible room cleaning policy, not so much. Public areas are clean.

Great as a budget option, rooms were slightly bigger then I expected, breakfast not so great but a few options such as japanese curry, eggs, sausage, bacon, museli, 2 fresh fruit (it was orange and grapefruit one day and lychee and orange on another day).
