2024/9/8Drop-in hot spring use (mixed bathing open-air bath)I arrived around 12:30 and headed to my usual open-air bath, but there were 5-6 elderly men who seemed to be regulars taking a bath.As expected, the source water was turned off and water was added with tap water, and the temperature of the water was around 38 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the conversations between people in the bathtub are too noisy for people who are looking for peace and quiet. Also, with no announcement that the coronavirus is over, this is extremely disrespectful.I go there about once or twice a month, so I'm a regular, but today's hot water temperature was the lowest ever.(The normal water temperature is tangy and around 43 degrees)As someone like me who loves hot water in Atagawa, I was on the verge of exploding with dissatisfaction.Usually he spends about two hours soaking in the bathtub and drying his shell repeatedly, but today he left in less than an hour. When I spoke to the hotel staff on the way home, they said that it would be a huge inconvenience if the hot water source was turned off, as it was difficult to control the temperature of the hot water. They were indignant, saying that there was no point in adding water even though they were singing the praises of flowing directly from the source.Even if you are a regular customer, if you act without thinking, it is a huge nuisance for both the hotel providing the hot springs and the guests.I feel strongly that this is an act that cannot be helped even if it is accused of forcible obstruction of business. If you like hot baths, please go to another hot spring instead of Atagawa. The sodium chloride and sulfate hot springs have a good feel and are said to be gentle on your skin and health, with the water flowing straight from the source.(Indeed, my skin is smooth and not sticky after taking a bath.)The water is a bit hot, but once you soak in it, you get used to the heat and feel refreshed by the pleasant sweat.Especially in the hot summer, the wind blowing on your flushed body will make you feel cool, and it might be the perfect way to cool down after swimming at the beach.Recently, there seems to be an increasing number of women who are negative about mixed bathing, but this place is spacious enough and you are allowed to wrap yourself in a towel, so please come and enjoy the open-air bath. Please note that the changing rooms in the open-air bath are the same for men and women, so you will have to make concessions. It might be best to change clothes in the women's indoor bath, wrap yourself in a towel, and head to the open-air bath.Apparently it's empty early in the morning on weekdays.Four or five years ago, at 10 o'clock on weekdays, I had the large bathtub all to myself. For the past few years, there have been times when I've had one or two customers.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews just before staying. When I actually went there, I quickly realized that this was probably the grandfather I had been hearing about, and as I was smoking on the balcony, he came and gave me some tourist information while smoking with me. It was actually fun because they talked about the scenery and other things. All the other staff members were as kind and courteous as hotel staff, so there were no particular problems. As per the reviews, the rice was plentiful and delicious.Leaves had fallen in the hot springs, but we were able to drink alcohol, and the 30 minutes of our private time passed in the blink of an eye.Dinner is fixed at 17:30. Breakfast is optional at 7:30 and 8:00.There were manga, and there were quite a few famous places, so I enjoyed my incognito hikikomori trip.I would definitely like to use it again when I come to Atagawa.

The scenery was beautiful and the food was so delicious!I had a lot of luggage, but they carried it all.The response was very polite! Some people have written that the tea sweets have holes in several places, but that's how it is.Even if I bought it new, it's all open.

On my first visit, I took a day trip and used the open-air bath ♨️.Pay at the entrance and go to the open-air bath on the 1st floor. The normal entrance was on the third floor. (There is a difference in elevation in the city)The open-air bath is a mixed bath except for designated times. It was a weekday afternoon and there were no other bathers, so it was the best dokusen.

Why do I have to pay money and feel uncomfortable? As others have written, there are terrible inns and terrible old people, so if you don't want to feel bad on your trip, you should definitely avoid going there.

When I asked on the phone if I could just use the bath without staying the night, the old man scolded me and said, "We're open every day!" I didn't understand what he meant.I knew it would be crowded since it was fireworks day, and other inns kept turning me down, so I wanted them to tell me whether they would let me in, not if they were open.I couldn't understand what was being said, and I was so angry that my brain was atrophying. It's best not to go, it's dangerous

As others have mentioned, the building itself is quite old, so footsteps from the hallway, upper floors, and neighboring rooms can be heard. And I made a mistake by going during the spring break season. This is an inn full of families with small children, and the sounds of their children running around day and night echo through the air.The people at the inn seem to be careful, but perhaps because there are only elderly people, or because they are too lenient with small children.I think that the reviews of this inn vary depending on what other guests say, but regardless of that, the building is still old, so I think it's a good value for money. It was a room with a private open-air bath, but part of the floor of the open-air bath was shaky and unstable, making it very dangerous if you stepped on it carelessly. In any case, I don't think it's a place where you would pay a cheap price to stay.
