This was an awesome modern ryokan/onsen experience. Staff was super friendly and always tried to help as best as possible. Do bring at least a little Japanese though, English is not common in this town or among staff and that's fine! Rooms were nice and big and you could see the mountains, food was super high quality and diverse. The town offers lots for nature and small town enjoyers. The 2 different big onsen baths and 2 smaller private baths offer a traditional relaxing experience. Free yukatas with different colors to wear while there, a small souvenir shop, pottery classes, mahjong and payable massage chairs are available.

We wanted to stay in an onsen, but many were too pricey. This onsen, in the famous onsen town of Yugawara, was priced just right and featured clean beautiful baths and a delectable Japanese breakfast.  …

Before going there, otosan warned us not to expect too much, but fortunately we were pretty satisfied with their room and services. Maybe only one odd thing is there's no curtain in the onsen room. Why do they do that?

Pretty nice place, service is great. Not much nearby, but there is a place where you can look at the water.

It was a great deal to use the last minute discount on weekdays. It's been a few years since I last visited, but the toilets have been renovated and are now clean. The food here is very good. I also enjoyed the hot springs, which had a large bath and a rock bath. I will use it again because I can come here easily.

Used when traveling with my girlfriend.Rather than a trendy inn or a hotel that stands out.It was quiet, calm and relaxing. There is a pottery experience as an additional option.Even though my uncle was nagging meIt was fun to make. The item arrived in about 3 weeks and I am satisfied.(Paying on delivery was a blind spot)It's nice that smoking is allowed in the room,The smell of cigarettes in the hallway was so badMeasures such as air purifiers only need to be taken there.I thought you wanted me to do that.Overall the food is deliciousThe steak dinner and all-you-can-eat breakfast of salmon roe and whitebait were amazing.

Perfect for a training camp or going with close friends while feeling nostalgic for the Showa era. There doesn't seem to be any Wifi, but it doesn't matter as long as you take a hot spring, play mahjong, or talk about nostalgic stories. The breakfast was prix fixe and had delicious dashi soup, dried horse mackerel, and pickles. The toilet on the third floor is new and shared, but it's extremely comfortable. The hot springs were tested for legionella bacteria last year, so they are being checked regularly. The rock bath is located in a remote location and is well kept. There is a rolling roller next to the sink, which is a nice touch to remove fallen hair. It gives the impression that the spring water is of a nondescript quality, but for some reason it was so warm that I needed a fan in the room. You can take a bath in the small stone bath if it is empty. The water here is flowing directly from the source, and you can feel your body being gradually healed, which is very pleasant. There is a river running next to the hotel, and there is a board explaining sweetfish, which means the water quality is clean.

The price is low.Everyone is good at the service and you can rest assured. The room has been updated with wallpaper and is clean. I would like to do something about the frayed tatami mats and the paper lining of the closet. The view from the room was not good as it was on the first floor. The food is voluminous and well seasoned. The Thai stew at night was especially good. Also, in the morning, you can enjoy unlimited salmon roe.The hot water in the public bath was not constantly flowing, but since it was empty on weekdays, the water was clear and clean.

I'm a local, and the quality of the hot springs is good and the baths are the best.Recently, I have been seeing many tourists (who were picked up at the station by minibus), who were not seen during the coronavirus pandemic. We also accommodate families, groups, and young individuals. The accommodation fee is less than 15,000 yen, which I think is surprisingly reasonable.

I think it's an old building, but it's kept clean and comfortable. The bath is nice and the food is worth mentioning. The number of buffets has increased, but it's nice to have one serving at a time, and it's delicious. The foreign staff were also nice.
