I used to go there often about 15 years ago.Last time I stayed in the hotel building before it became Marriott in 2016.I refrained from traveling for a while due to the coronavirus, but I wanted to take a bath in the forest for the first time in a while, so I stayed at Center House in September 2024.The room is large, but it has a musty smell and the facilities are very old. I had a room at the end of the first floor, and there was a strong ammonia smell coming from the sofa.I can't relax in my room because of the smell. Then, a centipede-like insect appeared next to the futon. If you have children, they might get stung. It's very dangerous, but it's tolerable to some extent because it's surrounded by nature. The facility itself doesn't seem to be well-maintained, and I thought there were spider webs for a while, but the building was covered in black mold and moss, and there were cracks and rotting pillars, and the door to the public toilet outside was in tatters. I got the impression that management was very difficult. The azalea hedge that used to bloom beautifully has disappeared. It seems like there aren't enough staff.Mori no Yu was just as wonderful as before. It's a blessing of rich nature. The open-air bath was also great. It's a shame that the amenities are running low.All I had were tissues, cotton swabs, and a hair dryer.I feel like in the past, there were lotions, emulsions, cleansers, disposable combs, towels, etc.Although the hotel building has been changed to a Marriott hotel, the pool is still the same. The spa seems a little bigger? However, it's average for a Marriott...The ceiling was very dirty with black mold, so I think it would be better to clean it.It was my first time doing a zipline, and it was exhilarating and awesome.I think it's worth more than 2000 yen.It is said that even children can reach speeds of 30 km/h and adults can reach speeds of 40 km/h.Instead of walking back along the greenway to the zipline stop, you should wait for the bus.The greenway seems to be poorly maintained, and the only thing that can be done is to avoid falling leaves. There are lots of rash weeds, insects, and crabs, and your shoes will get muddy. The road is also steep, with steep steps and muddy roads that contain water. It is not suitable for walking trails for small children, the elderly, or pets.As it was written on the signboard, be careful of vipers.Due to the aging of the building and the age of the room facilities, it may be difficult to stay overnight here. The hot springs are amazing, so I might go again when the hotel is renovated.

Overall I'm satisfied.I had hoped to see Mt. Fuji, but I couldn't see it as much as I expected because of the trees.

The main purpose was to use the gymnasium, but the basketball goal net had been torn to pieces. I would like to have it repaired as soon as possible.

If you ask the front desk for ice over the phone, they will bring you a full ice bucket. Also, there probably isn't an open-air bath. If you like pools, there is a small indoor pool that is directly connected to the bathroom, so don't forget your swimsuit.

The bed sheets and carpet were dirty, there were no amenities at all, and there was a bath, but it was a unit bath, which was very inconvenient. It was the first time in my life that I was forced to buy a toothbrush. It's not attractive at all, it smells bad, and the explanation at the front desk is not enough. When I checked out, the middle-aged woman spoke in a way that made me regret spending my money here. I will never use it again. I don't even want to go. I feel like I have zero stars. Wouldn't it be better to re-educate?
