Highlight of our trip! Our only regret was not staying longer. After a few days packed with activities in Tokyo, we were due for some relaxation. We had the most amazing time unwinding in our private onsen and enjoying the comfortable room.Highly recommend getting the traditional Japanese breakfast – it was incredible! We were a little disappointed that the public bath was not open during our trip due to renovations.

Fantastic hotel-onsen on balcony. Wee bit out from the township but the hotel shuttle will take you in and pick you up as long as it's before 6pm. Township restaurants don't open til 6pm. Hotel staff are very helpful and a lovely breakfast included

The location is not suitable for self-driving tours, which is a bit inconvenient, but the hotel has made reservations for pick-up and drop-off!The receptionist communicates smoothly in English without any problem! The catering follows the fine cuisine approach, so the time interval between meals is a bit long, so savor it carefully so you don’t feel like you’re waiting! The only flaw is that the public hot spring pool is under renovation

We were looking for a special hotel with excellent food and traditional onsen, and were prepared to pay more for it than we usually do. Unfortunately, the “Laforet Hakone Gora Yunosumika” fell far short of our expectations. Our recommendation: If you value high-quality accommodation, first-class cuisine and outstanding service and are prepared to pay more for it, you should definitely avoid this hotel. Some points from our disappointing stay:Despite prior binding and timed table reservations, we had to wait in the lobby for over an hour without any information or apology. When we were finally shown to our table and allowed to take a seat, we had to wait another 30 minutes for our dinner. Incidentally, it should also be mentioned that guests who check in after 8pm will not receive dinner according to hotel policy. The dinner was good, but not worth the high price. Our son's allergies, which we had communicated several times in writing, were ignored right from the first course. He was given a dish to which he would have been highly allergic, with the reply that he should simply leave it out.We ordered a simple Spanish red wine, which turned out to be 9 years old. Unfortunately, it was not a quality wine that would be suitable for such storage. It was probably leftover stock from COVID times that had to be sold. At least the taste was like that. There is no bar or opportunity to have a drink together or socialize with other guests. Drinks from the small store or vending machines may only be consumed in the room. The public onsen is unkempt and disappointing. The room advertised with beautiful photos for four people was simply a standard double room with two extra beds squeezed in. This made the room very cramped and the sofa had to be removed for this.In response to our complaints, the hotel manager only offered to pay for the bad bottle of red wine as compensation, which in our view was a cheek for the numerous shortcomings and disappointing service. We thankfully declined this compensation, as his offer showed a lack of management competence and a lack of customer orientation. We strongly advise against booking this hotel.

We had a remarkable stay here at the Laforet Hakone Gora Yunosumika hotel, onsen, & restaurant. This hotel has amazing rooms, amenities, great service & friendly staff. The onsens are great to relax in, as well - be it the tub on your balcony in your room or the onsens in the main building.I highly recommend coming to stay here, experiencing the full dinner at least one of the nights, getting a room with a tub, visiting the onsen at the main hotel, trying the welcome drinks, and enjoying the delicious breakfast. Truly an amazing experience!

I stayed at Ayakan, but there was no signal. You can't use your phone for anything unless you connect to WiFi.Next, as for the bath, as others have said, the shower is right next to the room, but the bathtub is an open-air bath on the balcony and can be seen from the room.Isn't it already a love hotel? Is the male front desk staff at the main building a part-time student worker? There's no such thing as kindness or consideration. When you ask a question, he will answer the question, but then he will go somewhere else. I talk a lot in private.I rented a yukata at the front desk, but when I told them they didn't have an obi, they said they didn't have one. And that's it.If you can't do it after taking the yukata, I would like you to accept the yukata or lend me a spare obi.In the end, I asked another staff member and they lent me one, but...The food was delicious but the price was high.It was a tourist destination hotel in Japan and the website looked good, but it was a good learning experience.
