The management team here is from the Showa era, so it's clear that it's going out of style. It's a great facility, but it's really disappointing. If you are not a local, you will be confused by this photo. The surrounding area has fallen into disrepair, and it feels like it's standing far away from the rest of the city.I definitely recommend staying at a hotel near the station.

It was the largest hotel located on a small hill near the very massive Hamamatsu Station. In the past, even His Majesty the Emperor stayed there, so there are photos on display. The inside of the hotel was calm and the view from the room was great♪

① The guest room is spacious, but the soundproofing is terrible and it's so noisy that I can't sleep.➁ Worst service. Please show me the location of the elevator!➂It is far from the station, which is extremely inconvenient for those walking. The reason why this hotel is the worst is that there is a structural defect in the large hall-like area that makes it very noisy, and after 8pm, the voices of children and families are noisy and irritating. All rooms are designed so that you have to put up with the noise of this noisy saloon. It makes sense that this was the only hotel reservation left in Hamamatsu.Even after 9 p.m., jazz music is played over the hall's public address system at high volume. It was so annoying that I called the lobby and they immediately turned it off, but I can't believe they had the nerve to play music so loudly that it could be heard inside the guest room after 9 o'clock.

It's a long-established hotel far from the station, but it's a shame that it looks old.

Speaking of luxury or formal hotels in Hamamatsu, the Okura, Concorde, and this Grand Hotel are the only ones. I always stayed at Okura and Concorde, so I thought I'd try this facility once in a while, but I got the impression that it was built during the height of the bubble economy. It's a luxurious and bubbly hotel that is unimaginable these days, so if you're thinking of staying in such a building at least once, it's a good option. Also, the rooms are more than adequate considering the price, and for the same price, they are probably larger and more comfortable than the Okura or Concorde. However, the air-conditioning equipment was so old-fashioned and poor that in this day and age, where the tropical nights continue, it was like a steaming bath...even though it was mid-September, it felt so hot inside. Personally, I would choose the next hotel again if the air conditioning was at the same level as other hotels, but the most important function of a hotel as a bed is severely impaired by this air conditioning system, so the rooms... I gave it 2 stars. I really wish they would install a circulator or electric fan in each room, or a separate type regular 200V air conditioner.
