It's not far from Izukogen Station in a straight line, but the wiring is bad and it takes about 10 minutes to walk around. This is a very unique inn, with inn facilities and private hot springs scattered throughout a small forest. When we were shown to our room, we were treated to a surprise: a squirrel running through a tree. The room I stayed in was the Mori-no-Iori in the Fushita-bu building. When I made the reservation, there were no other rooms available, so I booked this room, and it was large enough to accommodate a group. It is tastefully decorated with hanging scrolls and pots, and the wide windows and the greenery of the trees that can be seen through them are impressive. There is only one natural hot spring that flows directly from the source, and one is a private bath, so it is not large, but it has a unique structure. Please note that there are some places where the wooden frames are old and damaged, and there is no reservation system for use, so you can only use it if it is available. If the timing isn't right, you might not be able to use the hot spring you're looking for, and you'll probably have to go to another hot spring that's available. We had breakfast and dinner, and they were all elaborate and delicious. There is a beach nearby where you can see a wonderful sunrise just a short walk away, so it was the perfect inn to relax in the greenery.

Private hot springs and guest rooms are scattered throughout the forest with varying elevations. You can take a bath anywhere as long as it is empty. You'll want to try them all, from large ones with an indoor bath and an open-air bath to compact ones that are perfect for two people. The hot spring water is tempered with water, but the water is cold, and I am grateful for the blessings of Amagi.Since it's a forest, you can also encounter animals. Small snakes and geckos, squirrels munching on nuts that fell on the roof, and the echoing sounds of birds. You can see Mt. Omuro from the forest garden at the back of the property, and feel the breeze from the sea as you relax in a chair.Food has a good amount of salt. The nagaimo pickles left an impression on me.I think this is a perfect inn for adults who want to refresh themselves. It would be great in any season. I feel like I can see dust on the air conditioner vents. That's all I was curious about.

We had the most amazing and relaxing stay at Hanafubuki. The staff members were very attentive and generous. We were welcomed by the staff with a very good tea. The chef created a different dinner menu for my partner as he has allergies and it was just as delicious as the seafood dinner. Top tier hospitality. The facility is beautiful and clean. There were many springs available and we had no trouble finding one to use during our stay. It is a very quiet and peaceful ryokan surrounded by nature. All the rooms and springs provide adequate privacy and seclusion. Nearby is the gorgeous Jogasaki Coast which has a hiking trail. Hanafubuki is one of the most memorable places I have stayed in and is everything you would hope for from a ryokan.

Wonderful ryokan and onsen experience on the Izu Peninsula. Great location and little off the beaten path and much quieter than Hakone and other places I’ve stayed. Hanafubuki was clean and well maintained with beautiful gardens surrounding the property and very proximate to the coast. Food and dining experience was amazing - both for breakfasts and dinners. Can’t recommend highly enough!

For our personal experience in a Ryokan we chose this structure, and it was an incredible experience. From the welcome to the courtesy of the staff, the Japanese style room was impeccable. We chose the dinner and breakfast included option, both of which were exceptional. Onsen are both indoors and outdoors, open 24 hours and provide privacy.Unforgettable experience
