I visited for lunch. I arrived before 11am, wrote my name in front of the restaurant, and waited. When the time came, I was called in order. The weather was nice, so the seats by the window filled up quickly. Today I had the Matsutake Mushroom Gozen. After all, clay pot steaming has a nice aroma. The tempura 🍤 is also freshly fried, so it's delicious.

I used it to wash off the sweat from mountain climbing. The view of the city from the changing room was wonderful. I want to go again 😊

There is a large observation bath with a panoramic view from Lake Hamana to Hamamatsu city, there are hiking trails, and the food is actually pretty good. I received a fried oyster set meal for 1,540 yen. Apparently they use oysters from Lake Hamana, which is harvested in small quantities, and the taste was very delicate.I visited again in mid-October, and the matsutake festival was held, so I had the matsutake kamameshi!

I only ate there for lunch on my day off. It's not a high class restaurant but a national lodging, so the interior decoration, tables and chairs, etc. have the feel of a local golf course, but that's not a problem at all. The view from the window is spectacular. When I ordered kamameshi, I was told that it would take about 20 to 30 minutes, but they asked me if they would serve other dishes at the same time. I was a little impressed that they were able to do that for the same price as this major Japanese family restaurant chain. The kamameshi was made in a Teflon-coated pot, so there was no burnt food, so I thought it was a little disappointing, but considering the price, I'm very satisfied.
