I stayed in a room with an open-air bath.I don't care about the details, so I didn't really notice anything. However, the shower room and bathtub are completely visible from the outside, and if you go out to the balcony and look at the view, you can see the bath in the next room as well (no one is staying next door). It's not what you put in it.I think it would be good to have a board on the fence in the open-air bath in the guest room, and I would like to have a fence so that it cannot be seen from the next room.A private bath was usually enough. The four baths are very satisfying. The food is delicious and satisfying.

We had a great expectation of the pricey room which comes with a private hot spring. Although the interior looked old with a bit of smell (which was fine if you see it has a “traditional” type of Japanese onsen resort), it was all fine, with polite staff helping with the check-in and luggage and everything, until we saw a cockroach in the room. A staff helped to get rid of it. We thought it’s a one-time thing, which was proved wrong fairly quickly on the same first night with the emergence of a second cockroach. Next morning we asked to cancel the remaining stay, but a straightforward Da-me from the manager with a very clear NO face and hand-sign (the other staff was still trying to give an apologetic face which we were grateful). I doubt the explanation provided that it was due to proximity to the sea that there were more cockroaches. The third cockroach appeared on the last night, but we were well prepared and borrowed insect spray from the hotel. You would think we were leaving the next morning so it was almost over, until you see the scary-looking house centipede (we learned that from Wikipedia) the last morning. The only two good things (yes, two) I could say about this hotel were that (i) the staff, especially the lady at reception, were generally polite and helpful, except of course for the manager, the NO face of whom I now still remember, and (ii) the shared onsen on top floor was quite nice.

It is a beautiful onsen hotel, right across the street from the ocean. Amazing rooms, private onsen rooms on the 7th floor, and a public bath in the main hotel across the street. The only downside is it is further from the station, but they will arrange to have you picked up when you arrive.
