Shuzenji Katsuraikawa is a hot spring inn located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture that combines traditional Japanese style with modern comforts. The accommodation environment is quiet and located amidst the natural landscape of the repair temple, allowing people to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a peaceful vacation. The rooms are spacious, especially the Japanese-style tatami rooms, which have a very Japanese-style design. Some rooms are also equipped with private open-air hot springs, allowing you to relax in a private space. The public hot spring facilities in the hotel are clean and comfortable, and the hot spring water is smooth and relaxing. In terms of meals, the kaiseki cuisine made with fresh local ingredients is exquisite and delicious. Each dish pays attention to details and presentation, making people feel the art of Japanese cuisine. The service staff are friendly and professional, providing attentive services to guests. Generally speaking, Shuzenji Katsura River is a resort where you can enjoy nature, hot springs and food in an all-round way. It is very suitable for travelers who want to experience Japanese hot spring culture.

My wife and I stayed one night in a room with an open air tub. Our package included dinner and breakfast buffet. The room is beautiful, and the staff are very helpful! We also used a private onsen room. There were many available, and we did not have to wait to access one. This is a great spot to stay and explore the beautiful area!

I stayed in a business twin room, and as soon as I entered the room, I was shocked to find that it smelled like mold. The water area is a unit bath, but is it really cleaned? I was surprised to see so much mold left. The wallpaper in the room also had something that looked like mold, which made sense. I'm a very clean person, so I did all my makeup and teeth brushing in the public bath. Also, only the unit bath has a mirror, but there is no mirror in the room, and there is no small foldable hand mirror for makeup, so it was quite a pain as I didn't want to use the unit bath. The rice didn't have a particularly impressive taste either, it was just okay. Looking at the other reviews, everyone is praising the cleanliness, so I think the Business Twin is quite a loser. The price is 20,000 yen per night, which is not good value no matter how you look at it. I love the Kyoritsu chain, and have stayed there many times, whether alone, with my boyfriend, or with friends, and it was all a hit, but I will never go here again.
