We stayed at this Ryokan for one night. By choosing traditional dinner and breakfast you can have a taste of an authentic Japanese meal from Takayama. The thermal bath inside the structure is very beautiful. Clean and well-kept place. Very helpful staff. Advised.

Not what I expected from a ryokan. In terms of food, it did not live up to expectations. The onsen was lovely. For the price you can find better.

Our family of four enjoyed our one night stay at Ryokan Seiryu during our trip to Takayama in September. Staff members were super friendly and helpful - we felt very welcomed from the moment we stepped into the ryokan. Our room was generously sized and very clean. The dinner and breakfast were one of our highlights of the stay - especially the Hida beef!My daughters and I have enjoyed the onsen very much. Also wanting to take this opportunity to say thank you to a wonderful staff member, Kanon-san. My 7 and 5 year old daughters took a huge liking to her and hope to be back to see her again one day!

We really enjoyed our stay at the traditional Ryokan Seiryu! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and you feel that they really go out of their way to give you the best experience possible. Our dinner with the famous Hida beef was delicious, the onsen bath (we only used the in-house one) was very good and the breakfast (we chose the Japanese option) was also fantastic. I would give 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Thank you so much!

Everything was excellent, maybe the mattress/futon was a little hard but I think it's part of the experience. The Japanese breakfast is very different from ours, intense products and flavors at 7 in the morning (meatball, pickles, miso).Excellent service, extraordinary
