◆First visit in October 2020I used it as a stopover during a hot spring tour.Opens at 10am for 520 yen.Arrive around 11:00 and spend about 30 minutes on your own.The quality of the spring water is carbon dioxide-containing NaCa hydrogen carbonate spring, but unfortunately, it is completely circulation type. I felt a tremendous amount of carbonated water at the drinking fountain in front of the hotel, so if possible, I would be very happy if you could let me drink it with circulation. Well, there was no chlorine smell at all...

We took a detour during our trip to Japan to visit Takayama for the Autumn Matsuri, and we decided to stay at Shichihoukan for a traditional ryokan experience with an onsen (hot spring). Although it's a bit farther from Takayama, we have no regrets:1. The scenic drive to the ryokan was beautiful and well worth the extra distance.2. Shichihoukan itself is a gem—immaculately clean, cozy, and full of charm.3. The onsen was a perfect way to unwind after long days of walking, leaving our minds and sore bodies completely relaxed.4. The staff went above and beyond. Despite being the only guests, they prepared a delicious breakfast just for us and even gave us a lift, along with a detailed bus schedule, which really saved our day.In fact, everyone we met in this wonderful community was incredibly warm and welcoming. It must be something special to live in such a place. This was one of the best trips we’ve ever had. We hope to return one day if life gives us the chance.

I used it for a day trip bath while camping. There were also a few other day trip bathers who looked like they were camping. The women's bath is relatively small with four washing areas. When I used it, there was no one else taking a bath and it was reserved for private use.The inside of the hotel was clean and the bathrooms were also kept clean. The price was also reasonable and good.

A hot spring inn in a quiet mountain setting. Day trip baths are also available. Used for one night and two meals. The food was delicious and made with local ingredients, and the staff was courteous. The hot springs do not have open-air baths, the quality of the hot springs is mediocre, the amenities are poor, you have to pay for razors, there are no air conditioners in the rooms, and there are no washrooms in the toilets. The sink is far from the toilet and difficult to use. I guess it can't be helped since the price is cheap.

The rooms are clean and the food is good. The customer service is also heartfelt. It's cool at night too. This is because the altitude is 1000m. I would like to make it my own vacation home.

It's located along National Route 361, so it's easy to access, but you have to go through a switchback. There is a turning point nearby.A simple hot spring that's a bit hot. I was alone and lonely.

An onsen ryokan in a remote place. It seems to be stuck in the 1960s, but that's what its charm is! This is an unassuming, humble onsen with basic facilities, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was superb. It's a great stop on a multi-day trip.
