In the last 8 years, I stayed here 3 times, the last time yesterday. It was always a pleasing experience. The food is extraordinary and the owners are very warm and kind. Whenever I am in Takayama, I stay there. I can highly recommend this pension.

The stay at Yasuda Guesthouse has been amazing. Momoyo is a warm and friendly person and makes your stay in Takayama one of the best places you can choose to stay. The house is not very close to the centre but Ken was kind enough to drop us off at the station. I would 100% recommend this place and hope to come back!

It is a nice property in a green quite area but yet only 15 minutes drive from centre. We've mixed feeling with the b & b and let's talk about it's pros. It's a nice property which looks like a chalet from outside. …

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Dinner (extra cost) was superb. Breakfasts are generous. The Internet connection was exceptionally fast. Rooms were not fancy, but comfortable and roomy. …

Don't be put off by the humble look of the bedrooms. This hotel is a must if you want to experience true Japanese hospitality. We stayed for 3 nights as a rural break between Kyoto and Tokyo and what the best decision we ever made. As per other reviews the shuttle bus make the distance to the city centre just a number as we were spoilt with its flexibility. We booked the breakfast which was delicious and different every day (also a welcomed break for my mother who was not a fan of Japanese food). We decided to try the Hida beef also there for dinner and again it was excellent. We also visited Casa Sola, a little caffee in town also owned by the parents on our way down from the temple route. Overall everything was lovely.

As a fifty-something couple of moderate budget we had a very nice stay here. It is not super-luxe, but a bit like on old world ski lodge in a very nice area.||||They serve breakfast and dinner. …

My husband and I accompanied with my parents visited here in Oct. ||The breakfast and dinner were very delicious. You should try the dinner there to experience traditional Takayama food including hida beef.||The family owners are nice and provide advice for our travel plan.

Quaint cottage homestay. The owners stayed in Spain before and cooks a mean seafood paella. The rooms were clean, the surroundings were quiet. And did I mention that the food is fantastic! ||||Great Value.
