Hotel has really good location near main JR station in centre of Takayama.Staff is nice and has free public onsen for hotel guests.Economy room is sold for 2 people, but bed is really small. Definitely only for one person. AC was not working so we need to have window opened, so the room was really laud because of public transfer.Room was clean bud there were strange smell in bathroom.

The customer service was very good, but the room...It feels clean, but there are a few small insects on the bedside table.I told the front desk and had them clean it with insecticide, but...I guess it can't be helped because it's old.But the thing I hated the most was the smell from the bathroom. The ammonia smell was so bad...There was no paper in the room that said, ``Please let me know if you have any questions,'' so I just left without saying anything.I thought I would complain at the front desk on the way home. But he greeted me with a smile, so I couldn't say anything. If it wasn't for that room, I'd stay there again...

There was no quotation before collecting the money, the toilet had a peculiar smell, and the room had no air conditioning. The front desk suggested turning it on. It was really a novel experience.

There is no AC temperature control in the room. When we went in Oct the air was set to hot air and it was very hot in the room. Solution the staff gave was to open the window. It was so loud and we couldn't sleep the whole night. Beds are very thin, springy and flimsy. They use the extra bed as their main bed and not a proper bed.
