This is not a deluxe hotel (in fact an old hotel). Great location next by Nagari River thus the officials spot for Ukai (May 11-Oct 15)! Also famous sweetfish restaurant nearby.  …

I decided to stay for one night in order to go to a friend's stylish hideaway cafe in the back of the Marubara River in Gifu. This is my second time staying at Seki Kanko Hotel, and the first time was before the coronavirus outbreak. This time, it was my first time staying here in a while, but luckily there was a Western-style twin room available, so it was great m(_ _)mThe twin Western-style room was simple but clean and comfortable. The window overlooks the river, so we were able to see cormorant fishing, which was a great view.Dinner was a kaiseki meal, with each dish carefully served. All the dishes were seasonal and very delicious. The tableware was nice and I was able to enjoy the hot food in a timely manner.I apologize for the inconvenience and for having to prepare so late, but I am grateful for your willingness to accept my request. While having dinner, I was also able to see the majestic cormorant fishing, which was very moving. The bath is a bath with a view, and I think the view would have been better if I had taken it during daylight hours, but I was there late at night, which is a shame.Breakfast was served at the restaurant at the time requested. Breakfast was also very delicious.A cafe that didn't exist before the coronavirus has opened near the entrance, and it seems to be getting a good reputation. I heard about it from a friend, but I didn't have time to use it myself, so I'll try it next time. And at the entrance, a short-tailed swallow is flying energetically. There are many nests, so it's a relaxing sight to see them all the time. The one thing that hasn't changed since before the coronavirus is the Kosia Swallow, and the management of the others may have changed overall. The outside cottage that used to be there is gone, there are few souvenirs, and the restaurants have changed. The only thing I was slightly dissatisfied with was that, perhaps due to the fact that the hotel was run by a limited number of staff, there were times when I couldn't get through when I called.I have no complaints about the room, the food, or the price. It's a simple hotel where you can easily stay, and I personally would like to use it again.

The courteous staff took care of us.It seems like the cleaning hasn't kept up with the overall cleaning. If you're looking for cleanliness, you're a little strict, but if you're just going to stay at a friend's house, I think it's acceptable. At night, you can hear the sounds of wild animals throughout the night, so if you're sensitive, this may bother you.

I stayed in a lake view room, but I couldn't see much from room 313. You can only see the roof on your right and left, so it doesn't feel like a lake view. The height of the window was about my chest, which is 163 cm tall, so I couldn't see outside unless I got close to it.We had breakfast included, but since we had Japanese food at the restaurant, we could see the river and the weather was good. After the meal, I was able to relax in a chair at the cafe next door, so I was very satisfied. The view of the river from the cafe is outstanding.

I stayed here for cycling along the Nagara River. It's a little far from the city, but it's a nice and quiet place. Breakfast was prepared at 5 o'clock, and we were able to head to Mino-Ota Station by car early in the morning. There is also a large public bath, which I am satisfied with.

The food was delicious. The staff at the restaurant were also very accommodating. However, there was no hot water in the public bath. The temperature of the bathtub is 36 degrees. Of course you couldn't wash your head with cold water in the shower. The bathroom in the room also only has water. When I asked the staff the next day, they said, ``The boiler was broken, but breakfast was being prepared the next morning, so we left it as is.''I think there is nothing that can be done about a boiler breaking down, since it is an incident, but even though the boiler is out of order, they do not inform the guests about it (including any alternative plans). I felt a sense of disbelief at how they tried to ignore the situation unless the guest said anything. There were also dead insects left in the room by the lights. I think it's because there aren't many staff, such as the bathrooms in the guest rooms smelling really bad, but I think the minimum level of cleaning is necessary. It's a shame because the location was good and the food was delicious.

A few years ago, I used it for my son's first meal. They also prepared a baby cot in the room, and took a group photo outside before we started eating and when we left.A private room in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic? I don't know why, but it was a large tatami room, and we were the only family members there.I only see one clerk, and is it exclusively for us? It was lolI started eating while learning various things. The river was also visible and beautiful.
