Before entering Kamikochi, we first stayed in Hirayu Onsen for one night. This time we booked Yuko, a very quiet inn. It once made us wonder if we were on the wrong road. Even the signboard and entrance were so inconspicuous, but after checking in I can only say that the quality is completely worthy of the price, and dinner can be used in the room. There is an open-air hot spring in the room, and there is also a small public hot spring outside.

An absolute fantastic ryokan. The location nestled in the mountain was superb, the room was on par with a luxury hotel, and the service was efficient, pleasant and attentive. The highlight of course is the private open air bath that looks out onto a scenic view! I’ll definitely want to come back here!

My favorite inn in Okuhida. It's a small inn surrounded by nature, but the quality of the hot spring water is top-notch! !It is a drinkable hot spring that is rich in iron.Although the room is small, it is quiet and has plenty of privacy. The food is also delicious.I love hot spring inns where you can relax and relax.

This place exceeded our expectations in all aspects. First of all, it's beautifully designed with lots of woodwork that blends well with the surrounding nature. The large floor to ceiling glass allows you to admire the greenery around the hotel. It looks like a painting whichever direction you look from. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. The highlight of the room was of course their private outdoor onset. The food was top notch as well with their menu featuring a lot of the local produce. It's definitely not cheap staying here but we felt the whole experience was truly worth it

This is a modern Japanese-style inn with a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere where time seems to pass slowly. The hardware aspects were good, but I got the impression that the software aspects were not keeping up.As everyone has mentioned, I can't help but feel that the quality of the employees (training to provide customer service that is not superficial) has not caught up (I can feel that they are working hard on their work, and it is necessary) I appreciate the fact that it only interferes to a minimum.)Two things caught my attention...The first one is...I originally wanted the meal to start at 18:30, but I was told that "all services will end at 20:00"...At first, I couldn't understand what he meant by that, since it usually takes about two hours to eat dinner at an inn with a lodging fee like this.I guessed that this was the rule because their work hours were until 8:00 pm, but if that was the case, they should have set a time that would allow them to finish all dinner service with plenty of time before 8:00 pm. That's what I thought. The shabu-shabu was delicious, but the meat grilled on the charcoal grill was quite tough, which was disappointing.Overall, the dinner at this class of inn is a little disappointing (there aren't many items, so there's no menu)...The pot-cooked rice was very delicious, and the miso soup for breakfast was very delicious. One more thing...The view from the room was wonderful with a view of the entire forest, but even when I opened the shoji, I felt that the shoji itself was detracting from the beautiful scenery...As for the quality of the spring water...I think it has a strong iron scent, which is a matter of personal preference, but that's fine. The downside is that you can't pay using anything other than online cards...This is an inn that has many restrictions on its guests, but if that's the case, I sincerely hope that the inn itself will have a system of hospitality that is commensurate with that.

The hot springs are good, but I feel that the food is not commensurate with the cost. The customer service doesn't feel very hospitable either.

Magical place. The best hotel that we stayed in Japan. The room is big and quiet, private onsen is wonderful, the water is obviously natural directly from the source. The surrounding area looked very beautiful after the snow. And make sure to order dinner, it was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Shabu shabu was a total revelation:) don’t miss out on the opportunity to relax in this beautiful ryokan.

The Japanese cuisine is light and has an elegant flavor with a strong soup stock, and when you eat it, it has a deep flavor. I like it very much. The open-air bath had the unique scent of a hot spring area, and it was great to soak in the peaceful scenery while warming your body to the core.

Book a private hot spring + two meals package. The overall room is large and beautiful. You can sit on the terrace and listen to the sound of hot spring water and stare at the woods in a daze. One of the attached meals is Wagyu beef, if you don’t want to eat sashimi. You can write to inform us after booking. They will help replace it.They also have a shuttle bus service from the station to the hotel (just book in advance and let us know)It is recommended to come and stay.
