I used it for touring. It has the atmosphere of an old Kanpo inn. It seems simple. The guest room is quite spacious, with enough space to fit three futons. It's nice that the room doesn't have a bath, so there's no waste. The location is deep in the mountains, so the view from the room is pretty good. The bath is quite large and is the same as a day trip hot spring, but there aren't that many guests so it doesn't get crowded. It seems to be used by locals, as there were people on day trips until late at night. You can enjoy a variety of baths and never get bored. Of course, you can also relax in one bathtub. The quality of the spring water is colorless, odorless, and slimy. Looks good for your skin. The meals are simple, just a set meal, and are not like those you would find at a hot spring inn, where you spend a lot of time drinking alcohol. I finished eating in about 40 minutes (lol) and two beers was just the right amount. If you want to have a party, you will have to bring your own food and go back to your room. It is better to prepare and check in in advance.Breakfast is also set-style, and rice and miso soup are self-service. Although the variety of side dishes is not as large as the buffet, there were enough of them, so I think even people who eat a lot of rice will be satisfied.Overall, I had the impression that it was a very good accommodation. I don't think it's suitable for people who want to enjoy a meal. This is perfect for those who want to stay at an affordable hotel with a nice bath during their trip.

I had planned to stay at the inn, but it was canceled due to the typhoon.I visited here in addition to a hot day drive course. As it is known as a spa, there are various types of hot springs, and the tepid one in particular seems to be one where you can soak for a long time.Even though it was daytime, the hotel was very quiet with no engine or artificial noises. The reception at the front desk didn't seem too condescending, and was very natural. Next time, I would like to stay overnight and look up at the starry sky from the open-air bath.

This is a day-trip hot spring facility located on a hill in the Nishimura area south of the Mase River. There are more fans here than at Gero Onsen. It was a shame to hear that the largest and oldest inn in Gujo has closed. However, we have also received information that the hot spring facilities will be closed. I also thought Gujo Hachiman was doing well. Both seem to be affected by the recent rise in utility costs due to the coronavirus. It's a little far from Gujo Hachiman, but there's a highway and it's closer to the city than Miki no Sato, so I think it's much more convenient, but I don't know. I hope it reopens. Good luck! This place was also introduced in the media by a certain comedian who visited here and various other places in Mase and was photographed. The baths are also used by people who spend the night in their cars fishing for sweetfish. If you are fishing early in the morning, I don't think you will be able to stay overnight here or at a guesthouse. That can't be helped. The late Fukutaro Yamashita, a legendary foreigner and migrant fisherman who came from the Izu region of Shizuoka prefecture from the Meiji to Showa eras to the Mase River, Nagara River, Hida River, and Miyagawa River here in Gifu Prefecture, introduced sweetfish fishing and handmade fishing rods. He lived in the area for a while. I believe there are also materials on display here about traditional Japanese ayu fishing methods. I'm sure Yamashita Rod was here, but I haven't been there for a long time, so there's a lot I don't know about it now. The last time I went there was a holiday, but there might be something at the waterside mansion. It is said that it saved lives during the great flooding of the Hida River (Masuda River) in the Showa era. If you are interested, please check it out. As I also said at the reopened hot spring facility in Hida Osaka, the number of hot springs is increasing, and the number of foreigners who don't like hot weather is also increasing. Isn't it necessary to heat up a lot of bathtubs? Since hot spring ingredients are important, I think we need to change our way of thinking a little. Wearing swimsuits👙 may become more relaxed, and based on the traditional Japanese hot spring culture and concept, more places may close down in the future.
