Thank you for your help for the first time. There is no air conditioning at the inn, but it was cool enough in Okuhida Onsenkyo that a fan was enough.I was very satisfied with the bath, which was sourced from Hirayu Onsen. We chose the Hida beef plan for dinner!Beautiful meat in sufficient quantity is the best.Although it is small,It's a nice inn.

With only two words of Japanese and a few translated sentences, this was a perfect stay. We had a Western Japanese room that was well cared for and enjoyed an extensive breakfast. After hiking, we enjoyed the free private onsen and the shared onsen with just one other couple. The lady who helped us was very helpful and cordial. In terms of mysticism, it could have been a hotel from a Ghibli film. After a long search, we booked this hotel the day before we arrived, albeit via their own site with the Japanese address of the previous hotel.

It was a nice and relaxing stay. The inn is located in a secluded area and has the feel of a hideaway. It's a bit disappointing that the parking space was so small. I stayed overnight without meals and enjoyed the hot springs. Although it's not very large, I was able to enjoy the private open-air bath slowly. I want to go again

It seems that children are not allowed. When I told them that I was planning to stay with a 0-year-old, a 2-year-old, and 2 adults, I was told that the 0-year-old was also charged an adult price because each child would use a bed. We understood the inn's pricing, but when we told them that we also like traveling and could sleep in a single room with an adult and child, they desperately told us that the room was small and the bed was small.I declined the request because I didn't want to stay in such a small room and bed to relax. I don't like it even if it's only for adults. Be careful when bringing children.

Although there are some negative reviews, I think it is a good inn.All the managers of the inns around here, not just here, seem to be elderly. It seems that the large inn has been closed due to the coronavirus.Inevitably, some family-run inns remain. The inside of the hotel is well-cleaned, the rooms are clean, and I'm grateful for the beds. The bath is also fed directly from the source, so it's a little hot, but the water is nice. This time I only had breakfast, and for dinner I went to Rokuji-san nearby. This shop was also a wonderful shop. The store is still new, spacious, and has a great atmosphere.Best of all, the food was delicious and the drinks were great.I will definitely visit again with this combination.

I love this place, but you might not. I choose this place for its modest cost (~80€) and it’s location next to the forest! The hotel seems to be run by a family, a very kind middle-aged woman speaks a little bit English and that saved me! I could not manage to book online (non-Japanese names did not fit the form), so I just showed up and that was okay and only created a little panic with the lady. The room and hotel in general is beautiful, clean and has a charming vintage style. I asked if towels are available in the onsen until I realized the room has no shower. I loved to be forced to go to the Onsen twice a day but prude Angelsachsens might not. The Onsen is beautiful, right in the forest and in the morning the sun shines through the trees onto the outside pool. After the bath you can brew a good Japanese green tea in the room, the time stays still here, literally, the alarm ran out of battery. I drank too much green tea, slept very late and stayed a day longer because I loved this place and wanted to nap and be lazy. The breakfast is big and delicious, based on rice. With a little oven you warm up Miso. I burned my fingers and set the chopstick paper on fire, trying to blow out the flame and created a breakfast mess.

I think it didn't even deserve a star. While we've reserved the most expensive dinner set and we were looking forward to the Hida beef, the beef is not as good as expected to what I've tried for Hida beef before. It's not worth it with 6,000 yen per person for dinner. Also, you need to climb a steep slope to get there and the road is quite narrow. Thus, if you plan to go there with a big car, highly NOT recommended.
