I've been there many times with my kids in the past. The restroom was clean, there was a sink on site, and there was a beautiful river right next to it, which I really liked.Due to heavy rains about three years ago, this Kanayama Forest was closed down, but it became Yugake no Sato and was only open at the forest site, but it has been closed due to coronavirus and other factors.

I used it on the first Friday of August in 2019.The general information center, which is the administration building, was closed, but about 150 meters ahead, across a bridge, there was a prefabricated hut that looked like a construction site office, where reception was being held. They said they are operating on a smaller scale than last year. There were about 20 sites, and there were large stumps covered in moss here and there. It's quiet in the forest, the river water is really clean, and the location is great. However, the toilet was a temporary toilet. It had a somewhat deserted feel to it, but I think it's a nice campsite and I hope it stays around for a long time.
