The hot water has strong ingredients and is brown and murky and lukewarm, but it also has a carbonic acid effect and warms up well. There is a faucet at the entrance of the inn where you can draw the hot spring water, and you can also fill up the hot spring water into a bottle and take it home with you. Because the carbonation is so strong, water comes out intermittently when you open the faucet. It is clear immediately after pouring, but as time passes and it comes in contact with the air, it gradually turns ocher, but it is safe to drink. It is also used in cooking, and in the morning, carbonated spring porridge and boiled tofu cooked in carbonated spring are served. Salad, grilled fish, magnolia miso, etc. were also served, and I thoroughly enjoyed them all morning. A heart-warming breakfast that is easy on your stomach and intestines. However, even in the middle of summer, porridge and boiled tofu are always served in the morning, which is fine because I like it, but many customers seem to be taken aback when they are served without knowing that. Dinner was luxurious with rock fish and Hida beef, all of which were delicious. The room is undeniably old, but you can see the river. I can't say it's easy to access, but the road was easy to drive considering it had a feeling of being a secluded area.

A long-established Yuya Onsen inn belonging to Kosaka Onsenkyo. Speaking of Yuya Onsen, it is a cold mineral spring. The in-house hot spring water we own is quite cold, but the freshness and concentration are outstanding. If you like cold mineral springs, you should visit this hot spring at least once.Considering the price, I think Okudaya would be my first choice for Yuya Onsen (the others are Niconico-so and the high-class Sengakukan). There is a drinking fountain next to the entrance, and there is also a collection of vacuum tube radios inside, giving it a retro feel. When you go down to the inn, you will find that the inside of the building has been beautifully renovated to give it a retro look. This is the first time I've seen a Japanese-style toilet that has been converted into a Western-style washlet. The meals are worth the price. In the evening, they serve rock fish sashimi, and in the morning they serve hot spring porridge and hot spring boiled tofu (both are standard dishes at Yuya Onsen, as they are also served at Sengakukan).Because it is along the river, you can see the beautiful mountain stream and see the rockfish swimming. You can also walk along the river. From a male perspective, I'd give it a 5 star rating, but the reason I'm deducting one star is from a female perspective. The following points will be deducted① Our proud private cold mineral spring is only available in the men's bath (women can only use the heated source)② Gender exchange is possible, but must be declared at check-in. If you don't declare it, the cold spring source will remain a men's bath. By the way, replacement is only available from 8pm to 9pm.③If you go down the stairs in the men's bathhouse, you will immediately find a changing room. There are no doors or curtains. Therefore, even if the men and women were swapped, if they stay in until around 9pm, there is a chance that a male customer coming down the stairs and a naked woman coming out of the bath might run into each other. Therefore, from the inn's point of view, it seems that it is a men's bath. I wonder if the customers (female) who don't know about the replacement report will remain dissatisfied.④Because it is old, there are many insects in the guest room even if the windows are closed. The most common ones are winged ants, which spawn in abundance.Although it's an old building, be sure to close the windows and curtains tightly.

I stayed here on a trip with a friend. It had a retro atmosphere and I was surprised to see so many vacuum tube radios. The room is clean and the air conditioner works well. The signal for my smartphone is a little weak, but there is WiFi in the building, so it's not a problem to communicate. The rice was delicious, everything from char to soba to hoba miso to Hida beef was delicious. The hot springs have a hot bath and a cold bathtub fed by the source, and it was very relaxing to bathe in both alternately.I wanted to go again with a friend who likes the retro atmosphere and hot springs. thank you

Hot springs are the best. The hot spring water and heated spring water are constantly being used alternately. The building itself has a Showa-era feel, but the river right next to it was also very beautiful, and even though it was midsummer, it was very cool. The hot spring porridge was really delicious. The food was delicious, and everyone, including the hostess, was kind.

I visited on November 2023.The autumn leaves were beautiful. The building is old, but the dinner was really luxurious.Dinner was in a private room with tables and chairs, so it was comfortable. The bath is located in the basement and can only be accessed by stairs, so it may be difficult for people with mobility issues. It's not in the city, so there were insects when we visited.

Hot springs are the best! It's family-run and has great hospitality. The cute young lady and the kind hostess will make you feel at home. If you ask, they will alternate the men's and women's baths at different times. The dishes are the same every time, so there's no waste. Not only the hot spring porridge but also the white rice is delicious. There are no convenience stores nearby.

Service is uneven. Dinner was sumptuous, but the first drinks were slow to come out. There is no open-air bath, the rooms are simple and small, and the overall feel is a little unsatisfactory. Also, my partner was disappointed that the carbonated spring source was only available in the men's bath.
