I used it while riding my bicycle around Japan.Since the owner was a traveler, I became interested and contacted him and he let me stay at the Chikyu Inn. He told me many stories, but he also listened to mine.It was a great place to rest during your trip! The room was clean and everything was ready for self-catering.The shower and toilet are also clean! It was a ryokan with nothing to complain about in terms of service and location!I am happy to have found a ryokan that I would definitely like to stay at again.

Affordable B&B. The house is a bit old but clean. It is very close to Kusatsu Station, but the shops are far away from the station.

The whole building is old, but that gives it a certain Charme. We enjoyed staying there. Everything was clean but also old and scuffed up at some points. Also there is a lot of random stuff in the rooms and around the house. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay, good position for trips to Mijajima and the city. The train station and shops are close by. Also if you search for older Nintendo games there is a cool shop close by with fair prices.

It's a traditional Japanese room in a quiet neighbour hood.Trams station is very close, dw you won't hear them during the night. From the tram you can get to a JR station, memorial Park etc.The host is very nice, it's pretty clean all over. This is a normal house not a hotell and if you need anything just ask and he might be able to sort you out.The futon beds where not for me, but I'm happy I atleast tried it before I'm going home. And I would recommend it for others as well.

Very well located guesthouse (3 minutes to the tram, from there 30 minutes in both directions to the highlights, day pass recommended, which can be bought from the conductor on the tram). The house has 4 rooms, all okay. The kitchen could be a little better equipped and a little cleaner. In 3 days we were the only ones (apart from the owner) who used it for cooking. Parking space in front of the door.

Excellent location is the main selling point for this guesthouse. It is a stone's throw away from the Kusatsu stop for tram #2. Ryokan at an affordable price is the second selling point. I would highly recommend this place to visitors who are interested in visiting Miyajima and Peace Memorial Park.

If you can’t find anything else that is affordable, go for it, if not I would rather recommend skipping this place. It has a good location close to the Miyajima island, but the guy that welcomed us was super rude and unfriendly and not welcoming at all. The welcome kind of ruined our stay
