Our stay at Azumi Setoda was truly a blissful time. I was impressed not only by the comfort of the room, but also by the heartfelt hospitality of the staff. The dinner course was a sensory experience unlike anything I've ever had before. The dishes tasted even better when I learned about the background of the ingredients, and I was surprised by the originality of the combinations of ingredients. In particular, the sake pairings that matched the courses went perfectly with the food, making it a wonderful and memorable meal.

This hotel is located close to the sea on Ikuchijima Island. The hotel is a renovated former home of a prominent family, and has a very quaint exterior. THE is a Japanese house, but the inside has been modernized and is stylish. As soon as I entered, there was a high-class atmosphere, and the staff were very polite and made me feel very welcome. The hotel rooms are simple yet luxurious. It's also well soundproofed, so I wasn't bothered by surrounding noises at all. However, there is no TV. Personally, I don't watch it, so it's fine, but if you're interested, I think it's better to bring a tablet or something. Our room had a bath, but there was also a large public bath in an annex called YUBUNE across the street. It's quite spacious and there's also a sauna, so I was able to relax and relieve the fatigue of my trip! The breakfast was pure Japanese style, and in addition to the ones in the photo, there were fish dishes and dashi rolls. The miso soup and tomozuku were so delicious that I wanted a second helping. Also, after the meal, there was a drink service such as coffee, and I was able to drink it while looking out at the courtyard. The price is a little high, but the satisfaction outweighs that. It was a hotel that I would really like to stay at again! The parking lot is about a 3-minute walk away, and there are 3 Porsche charging facilities, so I think it's safe for electric cars.

Azumi is one of the finest ryokan we have visited. Our guest room (we stayed in Suzumi) was immaculately clean and smartly appointed. After a long and hot day of cycling, we had a relaxing shower in our cedar bathroom, then crashed in the comfortable futon-style mattresses. Pictures can imperfectly capture the beauty of this artfully renovated space, but to experience the quiet and relaxing atmosphere, you'll have to visit for yourself. It really is the perfect spot to stay if you want to stop along the Shimanami Kaido.

My family of three stayed in a maisonette type room for two nights during summer vacation. The room was very clean and the bath was very spacious. There were enough hangers from the start, and there were drawers, so it was nice to be able to move clothes from the suitcase. The bathroom is also nice with a spacious double sink. It was also a plus that there were toilets on the first and second floors. The customer service was also good. I think he was able to provide sophisticated customer service, with a nice smile, kindness, and a good sense of distance, but also rushing in from the other side.Since I was sightseeing all over the place, I only had breakfast, but it was a delicious breakfast that didn't leave my stomach feeling heavy. I thought it would be great to have coffee after a meal, but on the second morning, the staff brought coffee to my room, which made me very happy.I often think about which hotel to stay at next time, but this time, the whole family was unanimous in wanting to come again.

This Sukiya-style hotel offers a sense of history and is likely to become a repeat customer due to the comfort of a new hotel.Just the food❓️The breakfast was very healthy and delicious. Fresh, locally produced seafood and mountain delicacies are perfect for your morning meal 😋Dinner was French only, so there were no options and it was expensive❗️, so I had a delicious meal at a nearby Japanese restaurant. The cypress bath in the room has a nice scent. But there is no door to the washroom and I feel uncomfortable❗️The public bath at a nearby hotel ♨️ is clean and comfortable 👌 I've been there many times.Overall 4 stars ❗️The town of Setoda is full of lemon scentSurrounded by the warmth of the islandersIt was a relaxing, relaxing two days.Thank you to everyone I met.
