Use the lake site. Camping while looking out at Lake Biwa is the best. It's a nice campsite that's usually quiet, there aren't many insects, and there are clean toilets and a kitchen. I appreciate the 200 yen 5 minute shower (you need to bring your own soap, etc.). The path to the shower is dark, so we recommend doing it while it's still light. However, sites with lake views are suitable for spring and autumn as there is less shade. If you make a reservation, they will pick you up from Nagahara Station and take you to the campsite. If you don't have a car, we recommend renting chairs, mats, tables, etc. They also sell firewood for bonfires.

I used the lake view site on a Saturday and Sunday in early September. This site is full. There weren't many families there, probably because summer vacation was over, and it seemed like adults were enjoying camping at a leisurely pace. There are also some solo campers. Parking fees apply: 2,200 yen per adult, 1,100 yen per tent, and parking fees for other vehicles. For a limited time, we were able to pick you up from Nagahara Station (reservation required). It seems like it's about a 30 minute walk from the station, but it's quite a pain when it's hot and you have luggage, so I was grateful. After passing through the reception desk, they drove me to the site. There is only a vending machine at the entrance to the campsite, but there is no food for sale. There are no convenience stores at Nagahara Station either, so it's best to get food early. The campsite is quite spacious, and the lake view site looks like a terraced field. Each site is separate, ensuring your privacy. The washing area and toilet are clean, but the light attracts insects (mostly grasshoppers). The toilet stall had a sensor light, and I was surprised when the light suddenly went out (and never came back on...).The best thing about this campsite is the lake view of Oku-Biwa Lake! Because it's higher up, it's cooler than below, and the occasional breeze caresses your cheeks. It's also nice to just sit around and watch Lake Biwa! There also seemed to be fewer biting insects.I went for a walk, but when I go down there are insects that come to me. If you look at the site above, it feels quite far to get to the reception. I was interested because there seems to be a beach, but I think the Rinkan site is better for those who want to go to the beach easily.Oku-Biwa Lake is quieter than all of Lake Biwa, and has a slightly mystical atmosphere. Recommended for those who want to get away from everyday life and heal. It's relatively close to the station, and rentals seem to be plentiful, so I think it's a good option for people who want to casually try camping.

It was my first time using it.I was able to go camping with my dogYou can take a bath in the beautiful Hubei area.Select here. The location is great thoughIt was a bad day when I visited, and the situation was terrible because of the small flies.Insect spray doesn't work at allTalk to the managerIt is said that if you light a bonfire, it will disappear in the smoke. When it's humid after rainThis kind of situation seems to occur rarely. However, there is a lot of nature and there are toilets and kitchen facilities. It was a beautiful camping place that I would like to visit again.

I used building C.It's about 3 flights of stairs from the car, so even my mother who hurts her back is fine.Maybe it was just for this day, but the drainage in the bathroom was not good, so I hope this will be improved. The second floor was also spacious and the air conditioner worked well, so it was nice.Since it is in the forest, we recommend bringing insect repellent spray.

We used the cottage. The facilities are well-equipped, so it's really easy to get around. The shared toilets didn't smell bad and were very clean. The air conditioner in the room was working, and I was impressed by how thoroughly it was cleaned for the guests. There is a lake right in front of the hotel, so the children and dogs were playing there after checking in. There were so many trees that we didn't need a tarp. It hurts to be barefoot in the water or on land.At night, we had a barbecue and fireworks at the cottage, which was fun. Since it was a weekday during summer vacation, I was able to spend a relaxing and quiet time. The administrator will be kind to you, so you can use it with confidence.

I went during the cherry blossom season, so there were a lot of people there, all the way to the campsite by car or motorcycle to see the cherry blossoms. Outside the campsite is the shore of Lake Biwa. It was a nice area with cherry blossoms blooming along the lakeside. The staff were older guys who looked tough, but they were polite and gave explanations that were easy to understand. There was also a signboard cat, which was cute. The water area has been cleaned, but it looks a little old. Overall it was good.

Cancellation fee of 20% from 20 days in advance might be harsh since you can't predict the weather...

Used many times. It's the perfect location for camping in the quiet Oku-Biwa Lake. Also, the toilet is quite clean, and although there is no washlet, it is a Western-style flush toilet.Normally there are a lot of insects inside, but this is not the case, and it is a campsite that is easy to attract women. The tent sites are also spacious and can be easily used depending on the number of people and purpose, such as permanent tents, bungalows, and cottages. You can also add a power option to the tent site for an additional 1,000 yen.You can also charge your bicycle while staying in a tent. It's reasonably priced, it's easy to dispose of garbage, and it's OK to use an open flame, so it's useful for bicycles and motorcycle tourers who can't add more equipment. The tent site has a lot of rocks for drainage, making it difficult to drive in the pegs, so a shovel or a sturdy hammer is essential.Permanent tents are spacious and cheap (I think it was 4,000 yen?), so you might choose that. For beginners, we recommend staying in a bungalow as it has air conditioning and you can have a barbecue under the roof even in the rain.
