Invincible lake view, infinite horizons, the most beautiful cafe in Mount Hiei? Paired with Japanese tiramisu (containing red beans, warabi cakes, and bean curds?), the pattern on it can be chosen according to your birthday with the Sanskrit characters of the Buddha. It is a very special and fresh experience, and this place is affiliated with the guild hall It seems that few people know about it, so I highly recommend you to visit.

Very convenient location to visit temples in Hieizan. Strictly speaking, this place is not a hotel but an accomodation named ‘Shukubo’ for buddhist visitors of temples. But now, anyone can stay here. Dinner and breakfast are so called ‘Shojinryori’, in which meat and fish are not used. There is nice public bath with lake view. In the cafe terria on the ground floor, we could enjoy tiramis and tea. The visitors of Enryakuji Kaikan are free of entrance fee for 3 areas of Hieizan. The whole accomodation is very clean. This is good place to enjoy Japanese atmosphere. Visitors can join in the morning worship in Konponchudofrom 6:30 am.
