It is the best place to stay in Kamakura if you are looking for an affordable place, less than 5 minutes from Hase station and 1 minute from the beach. Comfortable, cozy and the service is really excellent.

Good hotel for what you pay and nice staff, but you can store your lugagge only from 9am on, so you must stay in until then or come back, what it's very inconvenient. Also, you are charged for this service and it's not that they keep your lugagge in a safe place, they just put it at the entrance where anyone passing by on the street can come in and take it.

The staff (especially Makoto) are very welcoming and friendly. He was so kind and helpful and recommended me places to eat nearby and gave me advice on a lot of things. The atmosphere feels like a family, and as a solo traveler that is very important to me. I extended my stay here because I loved it so much!! Thank you to everyone at Iza for making my stay in Kamakura so memorable ❤️❤️ 10/10 reccomend staying here!!

Easy located near a train station and with minutes to a convenience store and the historical buildings. Roims are a bit studded with too many people and single glass to the living room and you can hear everyone they say in there if you are trying to sleep. Convenient and cheap spot. Not all Catherine can be used at night

Rooms are well ventilated. Staff are nice and welcoming! Kettle and filtered water in common room is useful. I spent most of my time to and from the beach, which is a 2-3 minute walk 🤙

We stayed as a couple in the winter of 2024. I really liked the stylish exterior and interior, and the bar/lounge, but there were a few things that bothered me, so I'd like to list them here.・The lock points in the shower room and washroom are outdated, so I was worried that someone might peek at them from outside. I used the shower room next to my room, but the curtain only covered the top half of the door, and there seemed to be a gap in the bottom half. I thought maybe it was a shower room exclusively for surfers who came back from the sea (they enter with their swimsuits on), but when I was guided around, I was told that this was the shower room, so I just used it as usual. I did. The problem is that she used the bathroom with a bathtub. The washroom is located right next to the back door. The door is old and doesn't close completely, so there is a little gap. Even at night, there were quite a few people coming in and out through the back door (especially men), so I was worried that my girlfriend might be seen. (She also seemed to notice the gap and said she changed clothes in the bathtub instead of in the bathroom.)I was surprised because I had never stayed in an accommodation facility where the bathroom door was so worn out that there was a gap. as soon as possibleI would like it repaired.・When I removed the futon on the bed, I found two false eyelashes that had probably been used by the previous guest...I was wondering if they were cleaning them properly.・I thought the lounge was not allowed to be used late at night, or that there was a rule to use it quietly, but I noticed that a foreigner was calling a little too loudly.・I was also concerned about the toilet situation. There is only one private toilet at a time, but someone is always using it and it is difficult to get into it.Do people on the second floor also use the toilet on the first floor?I wrote about a lot of things, but I was curious because no one wrote anything about the bathroom door. Since this is a safety issue, I wanted to see something done about it, so I wrote about it at length here. However, there are good things about it: it's really close to the sea.The location is great. We recommend going surfing, walking around Hasedera Temple, seeing the Great Buddha, and walking to Kamakura Station alongside the sea.It is a heavenly environment for those who love the sea!I apologize for the long post.

Those who serve are PURA VIDA. It's a bit far away but it suited me for the price. It is close to the coast and a convini.

The staff is really kind and wonderful. The location is perfect. It's very close to both the beach and the train station. Unfortunately they have had issues with bed bugs in the dorm rooms. I planned to stay for the weekend but saw one crawling around near my head the first night. They took me seriously and immediately moved me to another room despite it being so late at night, which I am very grateful for. I fully believe they're doing what they can to resolve this and hope it can be cleared up soon.As for the rest of the guesthouse, there are a few dorms upstairs and a private room downstairs. There is a bar inside the guesthouse, along with a lounge area. There are a couple of bathrooms and showers, as well as a washer and dryer that are shared. One shower is very old and in bad condition with a door they ask you to be gentle with because of how fragile it is. They do a decent job of cleaning everything, but the entire building is old and there are signs of deterioration. I think it's cozy and an ok place to stay.
