The best accommodation for those who want to enjoy Kyoto slowly, leisurely, and deeply!I am a solo backpacker who travels quietly on a small budget.I stayed in a female dormitory. Everything was clean, they gave us plenty of towels, and they cleaned it really neatly every morning. They lent us bicycles for free, so we happily enjoyed cycling around the nearby shrines and parks. There are many delicious restaurants that Japanese people go to in every corner of the alley, and we even had a quick snack at Philosopher's Walk located right behind us.Above all, roku roku has a separate building called ‘seki’. Be sure to visit this place!! There is a beautiful garden, balcony, and tatami living room where you can relax in the busy city of Kyoto🥰💗 (I bought a packed lunch and ate here often)The owner is very pleasant. We talked together sometimes. It seems like he wants to share the culture he loves in Japan rather than simply making money from Rokuroku. I hope you stay healthy, meet many good people, and maintain Rokuroku for a long time.At night, you can take a bath in a bathtub that automatically heats the water. I took a bath here on my last night and had a really deep sleep😪💤It was a time when I felt like I was a 6-year-old granddaughter coming to my sweet and cheerful grandfather’s house. The neighborhood air was nice, quiet, and simple, so it was the perfect place for me, who wanted to calmly enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere and Kyoto atmosphere rather than shopping.(I moved to another accommodation I had booked, but ended up canceling the remaining two days and came back here)If you're a short traveler, you probably won't be able to enjoy all of this because you'll be out and about. Nevertheless, I recommend it because it is clean, comfortable, and you can rent a bicycle. If you can stay for at least three days, be sure to take some time to rest in the villa, chat with the owner, and enjoy the neighborhood, park, and shrine at your leisure. If you have a friend going to Tokyo, I would definitely recommend it! Roku Thank you everyone at roku! I was happy~~!!*There are onigiri restaurants nearby that cost an average of 200 yen. I ate it several times!*They said that in Kyoto you can drink tap water. It was okay for me, but I guess it depends on the person!*This is a really good accommodation for those who are more interested in shrines and village scenery than the city center or shopping!*All accommodations are on the first floor, so it was very easy for me, who has bad knees, to use it.ジュンさん、本当にありがとうございます! 幸せでした!

It's a clean and comfortable accommodation, but don't stupidly walk to the boss's house like me. The boss's home is close to beautiful philosophy and will come again.

It's a decent room for the price, but since it's a guest house, there's almost no soundproofing. It's especially noisy when someone walks, talks, or pulls a suitcase in the hallway. If you're sensitive to noise, don't go. And above all, they don't provide water. Now that I think about it, the refrigerator smells and doesn't cool down even when I turn it on... I used a private room, but the sink was too far away, so it was a bit difficult to go back and forth. The host's grandfather mainly speaks Japanese, so it's not recommended for people who can't speak even a beginner's level of Japanese. I did ㅠㅠ The neighborhood is secluded and quiet. There is a park, and because of the nearby Ginkakuji Temple, you can see a few foreigners. The convenience store is about a 7-minute walk away. But it doesn't seem like many Koreans stay there. Caucasian + Chinese Taiwanese.

I stayed Roku Roku to visit the shrines, and it was a lovely time. It's in an excellent location, close to the Philosophers' Path and many of the shrines and temples. The double room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The price was good.I should especially call out the proprietor, who puts much effort into what he does and is used to dealing with foreigners who might not understand the protocols. He is very particular and has a system, but he is also very nice and will explain it all to you. When I next stay in Kyoto, I will come back to Roku Roku.Note: when I searched for Roku Roku on Google Maps, it directs you to a small cul-de-sac. That is actually the back of the property. The door is accessed from the south, on the road going up the hill from Shirakawa-dori.

I must stay at this hotel every time I come to Kyoto. The owner is kind and friendly. There is also a bus terminal in front of Kinrin Garage nearby. Especially during the cherry blossom viewing season, it is close to the Philosophical Path. There is also a place where we had breakfast before. There are tatami mats and kotatsu tables to watch. The courtyard design is great...but it's a pity that the breakfast service is currently suspended due to the epidemic.

This is my first time staying at the hotel. The owner of the hotel is an old uncle who has been running it for decades. The old man is very nice, enthusiastic and responsible. The environment is very comfortable and there is nothing to criticize. I will choose this place again when I come to Kyoto in the future.
