I stretched out my legs and took a relaxing bath in the open-air bath in the guest room.Dinner is a kaiseki meal using seasonal ingredients, so I was impatient so I asked for it to be served a little earlier, but in the end it was delayed. But it was delicious

I think the food, terrace, and large open-air bath there are the best in Hakone!Perhaps because of the beautiful grove of trees, the room felt damp (especially the futon and yukata) and had a musty smell. Also, the cloth and lighting in the room are simpler than in an apartment or condominium, which is a shame because it doesn't feel special...The food was not only rich in ingredients and well-cooked to make the most of them, but the dishes were beautiful and bright enough to make your stomach feel full!Even though we made reservations on the same day during the typhoon, the staff were all smiling and helpful!

The emergency bell rang intermittently for about an hour starting around 3 a.m. while I was sleeping, but there was no response. I called the front desk, but no one answered, and when I went directly, no one was there, so I had no choice but to stay in my room. There was really no announcement, so I thought it was just a malfunction, but thinking about what might have happened, I became so nervous that I couldn't sleep at all. There was no explanation given at dinner the next morning. What on earth was that emergency bell? When I asked this question, a person who looked like an elderly customer service manager came over and said,・I don't know the exact cause, but since it's a hot spring, the humidity may cause the bell to go off.・It's not a common occurrence and it's my first time too.・I was surprised too. That's what I said.First of all, I was surprised that there was no mention of disturbing the guest's sleep. Even though they were paid for a comfortable time and space, they did not feel any responsibility for not being able to provide that in the middle of the night when they called the emergency bell, nor did they seem to have even thought of such an idea.People made small talk to me and said that they were surprised as well. Also, I think what's most frightening is that they haven't investigated the specific cause. If the emergency bell were to actually go off due to humidity, it would be fatal for a hot spring facility, and it should be replaced immediately before it causes any inconvenience to customers. If there is no way to identify the cause and share information among staff in the future, I think that if a real fire or accident were to occur, it would be overlooked as a malfunction, and there would be a great risk that customers would be involved. The emergency door on the second floor was solid and wouldn't budge, so I wonder if evacuation drills were being conducted. When I checked out, the male staff member simply handed over the details without saying a word, expressionless, and said, "It's ◯◯ yen." I think that the company culture generally lacks awareness of the customer service industry.Looking at other reviews, there are both good and bad reviews, so I think it's a good idea to be prepared to have some bad experiences yourself when using this service.

It's my favorite innIf you don't get stuck in traffic jams on the Tomei Expressway, you can get there in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes, so it's a distance that even my elderly mother can bear, and once we get to the accommodation, there are no stairs. The rooms are barrier-free, with only 2 or 3 floors, so even elderly people with weak legs can find them comfortable without much difficulty. The rooms are spacious and a little outdated, but they are clean, the rooms have hot spring open-air baths, and they are comfortable.Although meals are not served in the room, the dining area is close to the rooms.Perhaps because the manager is very responsive, the staff, although young, work hard. The food is delicious and I have nothing to say. When I stayed there last year, there was no Wi-Fi even in the lobby, but this year the lobby is open for the time being and they are gradually increasing the number of rooms that can be connected. It may become difficultI'll come visit you again

I didn't meet other guests and was able to enjoy a relaxing private time away from everyday life.I saw many reviews on other travel sites about poor reception, but I didn't have any problems. (au, SoftBank)There are only drink vending machines in the building, but the staff told us that we could purchase them at a nearby convenience store.

The open-air bath, room, and food exceeded my expectations. The hot spring water is flowing from the source, but it is surrounded by fresh greenery and feels extremely comfortable. Hakone Bara is a ginjo, but it is close to special junmai, so it is dry and goes well with stews that make use of the vegetable ingredients. For dessert, matcha and Japanese sweets are better than pudding. The sashimi is fresh and plentiful, with medium-fatty fatty tuna, sweet shrimp, bigfin squid, and sashimi.

I stayed here for one night on April 22, 2024, for my wedding anniversary.I don't want to write too bad things, but in terms of the cleanliness of the facility...if I had to say anything, it would be the electric umbrella in the main relaxing room. Is that what you mean? That place is dirty, maybe it's old? Points like that. Well, I didn't have a chance to see the ceiling, and there were no insects inside the umbrella, so I wonder if people who care should care. Also, is there water stains on the window in the bathroom washing area? I guess it can't be helped? It felt like...the rest was beautiful! All that's left is a good thing... an open-air bath in the guest room! ! This was awesome. I really enjoyed it from beginning to end. The hot water is constantly circulating, and if it's hot, we can adjust it to our own temperature by turning on the water...As for the view from the bath, I went into the bath thinking that the autumn leaves would be beautiful, but at this time of year it felt like taking a forest bath, and I was soothed by the scenery full of greenery that I don't usually experience. We were on the second floor. And all the dinners and breakfasts that come out are great, both my husband and I have just the right seasoning! I was eating while saying that.We both eat a lot, and our stomachs felt just right. Both of us said that head chef Umehara-san's seasoning skills were amazing. lolInstead of having to eat only white rice and miso soup at the end, they were thoughtful enough to bring it along with the stone-grilled steak at the end!The landlady was also very polite and took good care of us from the moment we arrived until the end. Thank you very much for bringing the dessert for dinner and the cake I ordered to my room. One thing I didn't like about it...This is just a matter of luck, but I chose this inn because I thought I could spend a quiet and relaxing time in the 9 rooms, but the group in the next room made a lot of noise both in the open-air bath and in the room. It's...I'm a little concerned about it.This is not the accommodation's fault, but I felt like if the group was making a lot of noise, they should have stayed somewhere else.I thought to myself, ``If you're making such a noise, please go to a cottage or something.'' lolAs expected, it got quieter by the time the date passed (^_^;)However, this is an inn that will get you excited! ! That's what I mean. The location was a bit scary as it was quite a slope. It was such a wonderful inn that I personally recommended it to my friends on SNS! We made some great memories on our wedding anniversary. Thank you very much.
