Not too far from Tokyo, this place is great to forget for a couple of days the stress of city life. The place a great with nice design and a welcoming feeling. The surrounding area is calm and ideal for a hick o a simple stroll around rice fields and small houses. The Hotel is renovate but has rooms that aren't. This gives a quite nice vintage feeling to it that I really appreciated. The food was amazing and enjoyed every single bit of it. But special mention to the fish rice that was to die for.In general I would Say I had an amazing time and would love to come back.

Excellent ryokan in Nanasawa!! We stayed in a room called “Kai” with a private outdoor bath. The private bath was so relaxing with the smell of wood. You can rest on the bench.Dinner was French-style twist on Japanese food and it was amazing!! Every dish was filled with surprises. I really hope more ryokan serves food like this. The library and bar had a book on modern gastronomy that made me want to try more of this kind of food. You can reserve the outdoor bath for forty minutes. You have two choices: the wood or stone bath. I recommend reserving the stone one because it is bigger. The bath could easily fit eight people but you get to enjoy it all by yourself! At night you could see stars if the weather is clear. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed.The location is very convenient to reach from Tokyo. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful place at a great price. The staff were very helpful, the room was very cozy with a nice traditional Japanese feel and the Kaisen dinner was fantastic. We came by bicycle and it was very easy to access- there is a bus available as well. With a 7-11 close by, you have pretty much everything you need for the stay. The room was spacious and clean.

The store was located in a quiet and comfortable location, away from the station, and had a beautiful interior. The service was good, and the breakfast and evening meals were delicious, making it a place you'd want to stay for another day or two. After taking a bath, I went to a place with a bar to have a drink, and I was met by the owner? I didn't have anything to complain about except that I felt a little disappointed that people who looked like my acquaintances were making such a noise.

I returned my room key with two charm rings still attached.I noticed it later and called, and they kept it for me.I'm very happy 😃💕.I enjoyed the atmosphere of an auberge run by a young manager during my stay and meal.It would be perfect if you could explain the dishes for dinner in detail, wear a mask, and choose less salt for breakfast 😃✌️

I went there with my husband to relieve the stress of daily life.Dinner was very delicious. I was very satisfied with the chef's ingenuity in each dish. The bathroom was also nice and clean. The room was clean and clean, but I was surprised to see G on the ceiling at night. I had some insecticide, so I got rid of it, but...I picked up a glass to use, but it was cloudy...I used it after washing it.

The room had been renovated and looked great in the photos, but when I actually entered the room, I felt that it was not worth the price. In particular, it was disappointing that the main objects in the room (fashionable and spotlighted) had dust and cobwebs and were not cleaned properly. The private open-air bath is fine, but I could hear people talking in the next room, and I couldn't turn off the hot water in the middle of the night, so the noise was quite disturbing since it was close to the bed.I apologize for being so harsh, but considering the price per night, I felt it was a waste. The hot spring itself was nice, and the peaceful and quiet natural environment was also nice. Also, the staff's response was good.

First of all, this area is recommended as a place to forget about everyday life as it is about 60km from Tokyo. If you drive by car, it will take an hour if there is space! There are two open-air baths, an indoor bath (separate for men and women), and a bath in each guest room, so you can enjoy them in your own way. Each meal was an elaborate and creative dish, and the taste was just perfect for us. At the end of the meal, the chef came to say hello and I was happy to be able to share my thoughts with him.(However, I was disappointed that the selection of wine by the glass was small.)My wife and I were also very satisfied with the breakfast.During my stay, I liked that the service was casual and not excessive. The bar and library by the entrance (also serving drinks during certain hours) is a very relaxing space, and the sense of freedom that you can't get in your room is priceless.
