There was a very bright light which we couldn’t turn off and was operated by a sensor which meant that every time I rolled over in bed it was set off and the room was filled with bright light. There is no shower in the room.Staff were polite, room was clean, bed was comfortable.

Rooms are available at a good price and the location by the lake is nice for trips. It’s remote, so check logistics before booking. The room did not have a shower. To our annoyance it had a motion sensor near the beds that triggered a light. This caused many wake ups as every time someone moved in bed the light turned on. The walls are thin and we could hear other guests. On the positive side, the room was spacious and had a cool tatami area. It also had fast internet.

A variety of rooms are available. The two-room is nice because it has its own toilet and bathroom. The hot springs are also nice.

Most of the customers are foreigners. Because accommodation costs are low, the level of citizenship is extremely low for foreigners. Children running around in the middle of the night, foreign parents who keep calling and ignoring themIt was so bad that when I went to the front desk, there was no one there. Lawless zone after 10amThere are some foreigners who are quiet, so maybe this time was a big mistake?Earplugs were also provided. Is this a solution? Well, it was several times as bad as the May Flies. I guess there's nothing they can do about the hotel management.

For those of us who know Hakone and Mount Fuji, we know that it is an area that is difficult to access, transportation takes longer to pass than usual and there are few convenience stores and restaurants mostly close at 5 p.m. so we cannot demand what is in the city. Personally, this hotel, although not the most luxurious, has everything you need to spend the night well, it has several vending machines of all kinds (drinks, ice cream, food and other things that would be difficult to get in the nearest store, which is very far walking and without transportation at night, which is appreciated). The onsen was relaxing. Very friendly staff. What we liked most was being able to make a reservation at the nearby restaurant that was recommended to us at the reception, we made a reservation, the restaurant staff sent a driver to take you and bring you back to the hotel, the food at the restaurant was exquisite, especially the tempura . It is also very close to the lake, the monorail that goes to Owakudani, the susuki pampass grass fields of Sengokuhara, and bus stations.

My friend and I rented 1 bed each in the shared dormitory. Just do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere if this is what you’re thinking of doing. Can’t speak for the private rooms as we did not stay there.Hotel looks empty and neglected, almost scary. There is no elevator. Upon check-in, we carried our luggage and walked up the wrong flight of stairs and even though the receptionist had full view of us, he didn’t bother to correct us. We had to approach him to ask before he pointed us in the right direction.Toilet lights are motion-activated but turns off after 10s of no large movements. So I was sitting on the toilet bowl and constantly waving my arms around. Onsen looks mouldy… I didn’t even bother getting in. However my friend got in and said it wasn’t as hot as the other onsens we’ve been to. Dormitory room was in a large hall space and thick curtains were used to segregated different “rooms” and storage areas. Couldn’t help but look behjnd the curtains to check what is lurking there. We had the whole “hall”/ “room” to ourselves as there were no other guests. Our bunk beds were very dusty and the mattress was thin and hard. I saw three mosquitoes the moment I opened the curtains to my bed. The whole experience was very uncomfortable and we ended up checking out at 8pm and driving in the rain/ darkness to another hotel. I just couldn’t bear to stay the night there. There are many other hostels near lake ashi/ hakone that is perhaps $10 more but you will definitely get much more value for your buck.

Hotel not very easy to access because only one bus goes to Kojiri-ue station and it is not included in the Hakone freepass. From Odawara station it will cost you around 1500 yen otherwise you have to make the connection by taking a Tozan bus.The hotel is rather simple but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good bedding, shower and WC in the room. Access to onsen (150 yen) rather simple but pleasant. For meals it is in dispensers only. We preferred to go out and go to the local restaurant open in the evening.Only restaurant in the area open in the evening. Last order 8 p.m. but when we got there the last order was at 7:30 p.m. We ate very quickly and left. The food is pretty good without being extraordinary. Payment by credit card from just 5,000 yen! Better to have cash on you and come early!

The room here is so big. There is a bathroom and a washbasin in the room, but there is no bathroom. You can only go to the hot spring bath in the hotel to take a bath. In this way, you can soak in the hot springs morning and evening^^.There are restaurants nearby and convenience stores are far away. However, it is more convenient to go to the Hakone Ropeway Station.
