This is an inn with pleasant customer service.Although the inn itself is old, it is well maintained and comfortable. The quality and temperature of the spring water is very good, and your skin will be smooth. Since I came on a weekday, the bath was reserved for private use, which was great. There are towels in the bathroom and everything you need is there, so you can go to the bathroom empty-handed and it's good that you can use new towels every time. The dishes have a light flavor with a strong dashi stock, and are beautiful to look at and very delicious. As expected from a Japanese style inn.As an elderly person like me, the quality and quantity are perfect for not weighing me down. There is one thing that I felt both times I stayed there. The grilled horse mackerel for breakfast was sweet. The smelly fat remains and the skin is hard and lingers in your mouth. I'm not talking about the head and bones, so I want them to be grilled properly. Also, why is Hakone in the name? Hakone has nothing to do with it, but I wonder if it's because it gets caught in internet searches. It used to be called Wakamatsu Yugawara Sekitei, which was named after the previous inn.

Although the location is Oku-Yugawara and requires a taxi, the rooms are spacious (33 tatami mats in total) and the food is top-notch, making us very satisfied. The open-air bath in the guest room is also compact and the water level can be easily adjusted.I stayed with my 1-year-old infant, and he treated me with great care. This is an inn I would like to come back to again.

I had high expectations for the food, but unfortunately it didn't suit my taste. The taste is bland, with no discernible body or umami. The quantity of each item is small. Even though it's near the sea, there's only a little sashimi, and the tuna has streaks that make it inedible. No meat or fried food. Vegetarian cuisine? All the staff were nice people.

The ryokan was clean and really nice, everyone working there was super helpful and friendly. The food was the best we had in Japan. We would totally stay here again if we were to come back to Hakone.

Beautiful rooms, good onsen, warm service and, above all, extremely high-quality cuisine - I have never eaten anywhere else as good as I did here during my Japan vacation. Carefully compiled menus with the best ingredients.

Two people stayed in ``Tessai,'' a room with an open-air bath. Although the building feels old, the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. There were some disappointments, such as the wash basin being quite retro, the hair dryer only producing strong winds, and the lack of a coffee machine, but the dinner was very delicious, and above all, I was soothed by the warm hospitality of Mr. Nakai and the other employees. . I would like to use it again.

It's a long-established inn, and the employees were very helpful and helpful, and the delicious food became even more delicious. Apparently there is also one in Hakodate, so I would definitely like to go there as well.

I was looking forward to the inn as it prides itself on its food, but perhaps because I had too high expectations, nothing was new or impressive. (I'm sorry...) The sashimi was also watery, which was disappointing. Is Hokkaido the only place where one-star chefs cook? It's an old-fashioned inn, and although the rooms are spacious, it still shows its age.It seems like some of the toilets and washrooms have been renovated, so I didn't have any problems. There are 3-4 rooms per floor with an elevator, and there are almost no steps, so it may be good for elderly people or families with children. For me, the price is not cheap, so when I consider the whole thing, I have given this evaluation. .
