Glad we booked this hidden gem as our first Japanese Ryokan experience! Every detail was perfectly curated -- from the decor to the elaborate dinner/breakfast. It was nice to come back for a soak in the hot spring baths after a long day of walking in rainy weather.Highlight of it all was being able to just unwind (away from the big city crowds) and enjoy the mountain views and passing trains.Kudos to the staff who were super hospitable/welcoming!

This is a very good place if you would like to enjoy traditional Japanese Ryokan and would like to have an authentic Japanese experience. It is sort of like a suite style hotel, and you are offered a traditional tatami style Japanese room with TV and AC. The washroom is shared; there are male-only washrooms and female-only washrooms. There is also on-site Japanese onsen, but you need to notify the manager lady beforehand to reserve a spot. Breakfast and dinner are also served on reservation (either included in your booking or you can also buy them. They are not very expensive). The food is delicious and authentic. In terms of traffic and scenery, the hotel is 5 minutes walk from ohiradai bus and train station; however, it can be very difficult to find at night due to limited lighting. The hotel sits right next to the railway so I would suggest using that as a reference. You can see the hakone train passing by from the hotel at a close distance, which is only one click away :)I also must give credit to the host lady. She was extremely kind and helpful and gave us many suggestions on spots to visit in hakone. She was also very helpful in introducing us to the hotel facilities and resolving all the questions we had.

Although it is a long article, please read it if possible and I would be happy if you could use it as a reference when deciding whether to stay here.First of all, there are no toilets, showers, washbasins, or refrigerators in the rooms, so you have to share them, but I thought the rooms were well-maintained and clean.I'm sure there are people who say it's impossible to have a joint experience, but as someone who doesn't like a joint experience if possible, I thought, ``I want to come here again and again!''As for the communal toilets, although they are a bit old, they are well kept and clean. The bath is spacious enough for families as it can be reserved for an hour at no additional charge, and there is a free-flowing bath, and there are steps, making it a paradise for young children.Do you use the washbasin as it is in the bathroom, or do you have an image of an elementary school in the guest room aisle? However, they were also well kept. The refrigerator is shared on the second floor (incidentally, the first floor is a cafe, the second floor is a restaurant, and the third floor is a guest room)I think you can basically see the Hakone Tozan Line whether you have a switchback room or not.The floor plan of the room I stayed in was about 1 tatami mat wide from the door, 8 tatami mats in the main room, and a wide veranda about 3 tatami mats wide. The tea and sweets that arrived were also delicious.I had one adult and one child, so I didn't have any problems, but there were only two outlets, so if you have a lot of people charging, it might be a good idea to have a tap. This time, due to a problem with the reservation site or something, I was unable to choose a one-night stay with breakfast included unless the child had meals and a futon, so I stayed there because my child loves trains. From the beginning, they gave detailed explanations, were kind to my children, and even let me take a private bath on short notice. Also, even though I had made a reservation without a futon, they kindly brought futon sheets and a yukata for my child. At breakfast, we were shown to a private 8 tatami room on the second floor, and even though we had made a reservation without meals, they prepared a tableware plate for the children so that we could share it with our children. Furthermore, the view of the Hakone Tozan Line from that room was closer than on the 3rd floor, and the best part was the delicious rice (we were able to get refills of the specially cooked rice and miso soup), dessert, and coffee or tea after the meal. I received. At the end, the employees who were usually on the second floor went out of their way to see me off on the first floor.Thank you for being so kind to children.I will definitely visit you again.

The accommodation is very comfortable, the food is delicious, the service is very friendly, and the CP value is high! You can have your own time to soak in the hot springs. You don't have to squeeze in with other people to soak in the hot springs, so you have privacy. The restaurant on the first floor or the room upstairs can watch the train passing by and the beautiful mountain view opposite. It is very relaxing to stay here. I will choose to stay here again next time😊The location is very close to Odaidai Station, a five-minute walk. It is very convenient to take the mountain tram or mountain bus. It is very convenient to go to Gora Station or Hakone-Yumoto Station. The tram can reach you in 20 minutes. There are relatively few people at this stop. There are no shops or restaurants nearby. It is a quiet niche accommodation. The food is delicious. The landlady is very nice and the service quality is first-rate. Really like it 👍

Dear photographers, this is a cafe and inn located at the corner of the switchback point. Therefore, you can take photos from a low angle that is almost impossible to see normally, and the best angle of view from the guest room.
