I have stayed here several times when visiting Hakone. It was a course that included dinner and breakfast.Breakfast is of an acceptable standard, but dinner is less appealing.Dinner is like a training camp (youth center) for club activities. The food served on school field trips might be better.Just like when I visited in the past, there aren't many items I can find that I particularly want to eat.The food was cold and the rice was dry. This time I visited other areas, so I decided to stay here due to budget considerations. The accommodation fee was 10,000 yen. It's reasonably priced since it's in the Hakone area, but if you spend an extra 10,000 yen, you'll be satisfied with both meals. There are many accommodation options.

I think we arrived quite early, after 2pm (check-in was originally at 3pm).I was able to check in early (2:30pm).The building is old, but the rooms have new tatami mats and are spacious and clean. However, it is not recommended to store clothes in a closet (closet?) that contains hangers. When I took out my jacket this morning, there was a lot of what looked like dust on the side where it had rubbed against the wall. There was no one in the bathroom at night, so I took a photo. There are two bathrooms in the building.Large bath B115:00-24:00Shower water pressure: StrongCleanliness:○Women's bathOn the day we arrived, the women's bath was a large bath (in the morning, the men's and women's baths were swapped with the medium bath). There are quite a number of washroomsLarge public bath, open-air bath, indoor bath, and saunaShampoo, conditioner, body soap included (3 types, honey, rose horse oil, rice bran or sake lees...I use horse oil and have no problems with washing)Makeup remover, face wash, peeling, and pack availableI used a peeling product, but it didn't cause any irritation to my skin. There was a hair dryer, non-rinse type treatment (milk type) lotion, and emulsion in the large bathroom sink (I didn't use them because I brought them with me)The sauna is a little small, so I think it's best for 3 to 4 people to fit together. There is an open-air bath with a view on the second floor.15:00-23:00However, I think it's a little too slow to call it a bath with a view. The view is not particularly good, and if you go out to see the view, you can see it completely from the room at the end of the hotel. The washing area is small, but there are two (I don't know if it changes daily, but there was a honey washing set)There's not a lot of care products in the one sink, so I think it's better to finish everything in the large bath and then just take a bath. This is not a problem with the hotel, but with the manners of the customers, but the path from the washing area to the back of the bathtub is so narrow that several young women are standing around and talking all the time, making it difficult to pass.I have to move around in the bathtub to see the view...I thought it would be nice if there was a notice saying "Please do not sit here."The quality of the spring water is of course good, so I didn't have any muscle pain the next day.mealThis time I stayed without meals so I have nothing special to say.It was very noisy from people in other rooms until around midnight, but it was tolerable since I was staying at an inn.Overall, I don't have any complaints other than the customer base, but the location is bad as it's an 18 minute walk from the station (it takes more than 10 minutes to walk to a convenience store), so they have a self-service ice machine and a more reasonable price for single customers. I would be grateful if you could let me stay at

In the past, I have stayed at Matsukawakan and Honkan in Ito, Ohnoya in Atami, Ohito Hotel in Nakaizu, Kindayu in Ikaho, and Itoen in Gaku (Fukushima), but they are small compared to those hotels. There were no entertainment facilities such as a game corner, so I got the impression that it was more of a neat and quiet resort than a resort hotel. Furthermore, it's quieter than in the past, when there were often lines of people waiting for check-in and breakfast and dinner. Both times I bathed in the hot springs, they were reserved for private use (I think this was coincidental timing, but I was able to relax without feeling the stress of crowds and waiting in line). I was also very impressed with the response from the front desk staff.Itoen often uses buildings from previous hotels, so I often got the impression that it was quite old and had sagging walls, doors, etc., but this hotel has been renovated. It looks neat and tidy. I think the cleaning is also thorough. As a general rule, single occupancy is only allowed on the second floor, so this time we used an 8 tatami Japanese-style room. It doesn't have a great view, but it's not blocked by buildings and there's a balcony, so it's quiet and relaxing. However, since there is no wide veranda, there are no chairs, so I thought it would be easier to relax if there was a chair. I also thought it would be nice to have a full-length mirror. The hot springs have probably been renovated and are very clean, and in addition to shampoo and soap, they also have toiletries such as facial soap, face packs, and exfoliating products. The only disappointing thing for me personally is that it's not a continuous flow, but rather a circulation and filtration process...it's true that the hot water...it feels like it's circulating on the skin.I think the meals were standard Itoen fare for breakfast and dinner, but the 4 types of local sake (Kanagawa & Shizuoka) were delicious💛 I also enjoyed the sashimi and sushi (*^^*)Regarding access, there is no dedicated shuttle bus for Itoen, and there seems to be a paid shuttle bus, but if you are in good shape and the weather is bad, you can also go on foot. As a woman in her 60s, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk from Hakone Yumoto. In that case, instead of climbing the steep stairs leading from Taki-dori, we recommend that you cross the Yaei Bridge and go straight up the slope until you reach Soun-dori. The slope in the second half is a bit steep, but there are cobblestones reminiscent of old roads, and in the first half you can enjoy the bustle of the hot spring town.

Please note the three-part meal system (in order of check-in).I stayed here during the Obon season with two young children.Check-in is at 18:00 and the only option for dinner is to start at 20:40.I had informed them the day before that I would be changing my check-in schedule at 3pm, but there was no explanation of the dinner time. The hotel insists that ``everyone has agreed without complaint,'' and that they will not accept any time changes. There is no hospitality on the part of the hotel that takes into account the fact that there are young children. Please be especially careful if you are traveling with children so that you do not regret your trip.

Both dinner and breakfast are buffets. You can drink as much alcohol as you want, so it's a good deal. However, the time for both dinner and breakfast is divided into 1 part, 2 parts, and 3 parts, and you can choose the time you want to check in in the order of check-in, but if you check in at around 16:40, dinner will start at 20:40. The only time available was from 9am for breakfast. Check out at 10am and breakfast at 9am was too late. During breakfast, work began in the basement workshop, and the first floor dining area was filled with the extremely strong smell of varnish. It's not a place to eat. Even before checking out, the smell of varnish in the room was so strong that I felt like I was going to throw up. I'm starting to doubt that I should go home early. Until the day before, I thought it was a nice hotel, but in the end I left the hotel feeling very disappointed and in a bad mood.

It's been 8 years since I last stayed here, and the underground bath, the passage to the open-air bath, the restaurant, etc. had been renovated in many places. As others have pointed out, there is only one elevator, so you will have to wait when checking in. This time, I stayed in a single room as I was traveling alone, and it was clean (room 515).The refrigerator had two doors and a freezer compartment, which was nice. Most single rooms have one door. I expected the food to be quite tough, but it seemed a little less than Itoen's standard. It might be good if it's during the normal fair food season. After all, prices have gone up considerably in Hakone, so you won't find a price like this where you can drink as much alcohol as you want in the morning and dinner. Nowadays, even if you're traveling alone, there aren't any good hotels that cost more than 20,000 yen, which is twice to three times the price before the coronavirus. It's true that there may be a lack of food selection and cleaning, but at this price I think it's good for those looking for a low price. You can see the mountains of Hakone from the open-air bath, and it feels like you can enjoy forest bathing and hot spring bathing at the same time. Thank you for your help again.

Itoen has been indebted to Itoen for a long time (especially Ohnoya), and all of my family members were born in August, so we often use this product when we travel to celebrate. This year, my older brother has grown up and is now at an age where he doesn't have much contact with his parents, and my younger child is in the upper grades of elementary school, so I wonder if this is the last year I can take him on a trip, both financially and age-wise. That's what I thought when I used this for the first time.I had booked a plan that included admission to Yunessun, but at the same time as I checked in, I was told that I needed to reserve admission to use the facility (Yunesun).Since they had announced the Yunessun Plan, I thought that I would be able to use Yunessun smoothly, so I wondered why I had to do such a troublesome thing while I was tired... (Meanwhile, the woman at the front desk... (Isn't it still there?)Well, I may have been at fault due to my age. However, the response after this was also terrible. This group will be guided through the dinner time divided into three parts. (At that time, you will be given a card that looks like a meal ticket.)We arrived at the restaurant on time, but perhaps due to a communication error, even after presenting our card,Isn't it earlier than that time frame? I was told that the extra time could not be guaranteed. The time has passed without any confirmation? Even if the meal time is shortened, we cannot guarantee it. Even though you said that, why? That's what I thought, maybe I'm mistaken? So I went back to the reception desk with the paper form given to me at check-in, and there was no apology.[Here you go⠀] was the response.I'm taken aback...At this moment, I was taken aback. That's what I'm saying...I thought it was hilarious. To everyone who has read this article for so long,At this time, both of my children had passed their birthdays...(However, as I wrote in ⤴︎︎, everyone in my family was born in August.) It is an important month that we can all celebrate together. The day after I posted this was my birthday...It was a normal day for the people working there, but it was an important day for us.When I talked about this year a few years later, I couldn't help it. It's really a shame that it ended like this.
