What a great and unique place to stay. It was my birthday and they gave us ice cream with chocolate sauce. Make sure to get the cheese pizza and put honey on it, incredible! The bed rolls were super comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Very interesting building with the onsen in the basement. We booked a time slot and had a lovely time. I would recommend not using Google maps to get there! Listen to them and use their directions. We had no issues.

Very good hostel, well located to start visiting the surrounding areas. Their onsen is awesome. The service is great. Possibility of dining on site with simple but good dishes. Their welcome is top notch. As a family, we had a great time. A small downside on sound insulation, bring earplugs. I will return there without problem.

Lovely stay! Fantastic pizzas and a good vibe. We booked the private Japanese-style room, and it was very spacious and comfortable. They also had a private onsen you can reserve upon arrival, which was a treat! Highly recommend this accommodation for visitors to Hakone Gora. We also did a hike to Mount Kintoki from here (with views of Fuji) - the bus was convenient and took about 15 minutes from the hostel to the trail start.Getting there: I recommend you take the train to Gora Station, which is right by the hostel. We opted for the bus, which said it would include a 12 minute walk - little did we know, that walk meant ascending a long and narrow outdoor staircase with our big suitcases 😅

The staff is very friendly and polite. Sometimes communication in English is a little bit difficult but possible.The drinks and rotating food is very delicious and quite cheap. The chill area is cosy and the offer a free kitchen (with free tea) and games to play. You can even bring your own food and drinks, you are not forced to buy something.We had the apartment for 6 people, with a nice view of the mountains, large windows, a kitchen, dining area and sleeping area.The highlights are the onsens, especially the one you need to reserve, is very nice.

To discover Hakone, this place is perfect and immerses you in the atmosphere of traditional Japan as soon as you arrive. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful, very good products to drink and eat (Big up for the pizzas and lemon beer). We will be happy to come back if the opportunity presents itself!
