Loved this place! I chose it because it has a large open air (outdoor) mixed gender bathing area, and my partner and I are hippies from CA.  …

Greeted at the door upon arrival. They help us bring our luggage up and down the stairs. We had Tomoe as our service lady and she was genuinely the sweetest lady ever with her positive energy. The food was great if you are into home cooked style food with less grease, MSG etc.. Portions are great too and you can always request for more rice. There is mixed onsen and private onsen (gets booked up fast before meals). It may be confusing to know what to bring and where to put everything if it is your first time to an onsen but the workers are very friendly and happy to explain.Google translate will be your best friend when you don't speak Japanese.

I had a very enjoyable trip and holiday, enjoying both the hot springs and the food. The hot springs are a bit salty and may be a bit harsh, but the water quality and the refreshing feeling after getting out is amazing!

I used it on a family trip.As soon as I entered the parking lot, I was greeted and carried my luggage, and I was very satisfied with the staff's response. The room is a calm Japanese-style room, the bath is a private bath,There was also an open-air bath, so I was able to take a relaxing bath with my family. The open-air bath is a mixed bath, but it may have been a coincidence, but I was able to take a bath with just my family. After all, I was able to enjoy both dinner and breakfast in my room and it was very delicious. It was a ryokan that I would definitely want to stay at next time I go to Hakone.

I stayed here with my 5 month old baby. I decided to stay here after reading reviews that it was good for families with babies, and I'm so glad I stayed here. The staff was very considerate and I felt very comfortable. The room was very spacious and comfortable. All meals were served in the room, so I was able to enjoy the meal slowly without worrying about my child crying. One thing that bothered me was that there were no lotions in the men's public bath. Nowadays, more and more men are paying attention to their skin care, so I thought it would be a good idea to have one. (There seems to be a private bath in the changing room of the women's public bath.)
