Stillness, serenity and traditional will be the words to describe this Ryokan. The garden and the hot springs will relax you as if you were in a paradise. The rooms could be renovated. We made the booking included for both breakfast and dinner (traditional Japanese multi-courses meal called Kaiseki). The food did not disappoint at all. Location is a street behind the main stretch (10 min walk to the station). For the price you pay, it is well worth the visit.

Access to the hotel from the reception is very convenient. The reception area has a brilliant view of the garden. Besides, the garden and onsen are the main advantage of this hotel and they made us leave happy. A refreshment room is available for guests. The onsen turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The Japanese breakfast is also worth recommending - regardless of whether you like it or not, it is definitely an experience worth the money. Although the rooms themselves are not renovated, the ratio of the opportunity to experience a traditional Ryokan to the affordable price would be very attractive. The excellent service deserves special mention - friendly, professional and fluent in English.

I loved my experience at this ryokan, whether it was wearing a yukata and walking around like that to go to the baths, to the restaurant or just walking around the garden. We had the option for 2 kaiseki dinners and 2 breakfasts and the experience is extraordinary, each ingredient, each dish is seasoned in a perfect way. I felt like I understood what great Japanese cuisine was.The garden is very beautiful and calming, although the hotel is located near a road and other hotels you can't hear anything except the sound of the water. The private baths are very good with a wide range of times. We just weren't able to try the pool because it closed at 5:00 p.m. and we hadn't yet returned from our trip.Regarding the room, we took a traditional room with tatami and futon. It was a first time for us and we slept very well.I am delighted with this experience.

I would give this place all the stars - 5 isn't enough. It's an incredibly beautiful location situated around a central traditional garden with stone pathways, koi, Japanese topiary, etc. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are extremely nice and thoughtfully laid out, though I only have the one to base that off of. The private onsen is key! Especially for someone with a handful of innocuous tattoos. The little covered bath area of the room is so nice though, worth every penny. The meals are also something really special. I didn't want to bring a phone and take pictures b/c I feel that really takes you out of it when you should be fully in it, but the beauty, the subtlety, the quality - just next level. The location is also extremely convenient while off the beaten path just enough.

In fact, I really like the public bathhouse here. Maybe the time is just right, and the whole room is reserved when you enter. There are two indoor pools and two outdoor pools with good bathing supplies. At the same time, the public pool not only has unlimited bathing time, but also can visit the courtyard and help. You keep your luggage🧳. The only regret is that I was in a hurry. Hakone is currently the hot spring spot, and this place won the second place. The location is convenient and the staff is friendly.
