There is a kettle, air conditioner, tissues and trash can. There is also Wi-Fi. The toilet is also shared, but it's clean so I don't mind.No toothbrush or cup.Baths are also shared (hot water can be changed)It's not as bad as everyone says. It feels like a renovated private house, so if you don't mind that, you'll probably be fine. Also, as others have said, I never had the store owner peek at my luggage.

The locatuon is 1 km from the train station. Lots of food but must walk. Cannot use the facilities like fridge, cooking etc. The lady is friendly but treat me like teaching a child and very fussy. As i used the place just to sleep, i have no complains.

Location is excellent and the room was spacious and clean. A tatami style room with futon beds, lovely AC unit.As per other reviews regarding privacy issues, we had no problems with privacy. The room was fully private. We would recommend staying anyways.

The worst place you can ever imagine(trust me, I am an avid traveller, experienced quite a lot of low-budget hostels all over the world). Not only the room is unbelievably tiny and stuffy, the host will peek into your room, unlock the rooms to inspect during your stay. We gently asked the host, Morimoto Midori san, to not come into our rooms (which is a common sense I believe - ) and she refused to. Instead, she asked us to find another place to stay. We were literally kicked out out of the blue.PLEASE note that I know how much I was paying for, and I wasn't expecting much - but this just does not make sense. Running a business is not a joke. No one deserves to stay at a place like this.

It was the worst accommodation of my lifeThe host was Chinese who could not speak English.I booked a 2-night stay. I went out with my luggage inside and when I came back, there were traces of someone entering through the locked door. There is no privacy at all.The accommodation was so small that it was uncomfortable for two people to sleep in it.The price is not that cheap either. It was the worst accommodation, so much so that we booked for 2 nights and canceled one night. If you don't want to ruin your happy trip, I recommend that you never go here.

The hostel is very well located for Kyoto station as well as giving easy access to the river and Gion. The place itself is clean and well maintained, the staff are great and our room was a tatami mat room of a good size.My only adjustment requests would be to give the main bedroom light a dimmer or a bedside light as our only options for lighting were full blast or pitch black and to send the door code to guests on the day of check in as staff may not always be immediately available to let you in and in the winter this can leave you on the cold street with bags for a short while.Overall an average/reasonable price and I would recommend/return.

Terrible place. The lady who served us charged us a tax of 1200 yen for two people even though it was paid to the hotel two months ago, she is very rude (she looks into the rooms, there is no privacy) and she does not speak English or Spanish, It doesn't let you sleep and in the morning and at night it makes too much noise. The place is very small, the rooms are ugly and dirty (full of hair), in general the facilities are very dirty

I’m sorry but I can’t recommend this at the price, over ¥6000. However, I guess useful for Chinese speaking traveler.
