The owner is a national treasure that must be protected at all costs. He is insanely kind and charming. The place has sci-fi beds designed by a Gundam lover. It's linked to a Manga Cafe, and people residing in the capsule hotel are free to take manga with them to read in the capsule. They also have a takoyaki place right in the front that's open until 22.30, and the takoyakis are damn good.On the minus side, there's no separation men and women so I guess it's a bit awkward for women at times. There are two showers for the whole place, which also have a bathtub. The place isn't always the most crystal clear but honestly it's fine. They really bother you the minimum amount. Checkout is done whenever you want by putting your access card in a box. Just a really enjoyable experience. Discussing with the owner whenever I met him was super nice :)

Bit of an odd experience, but to be expected! Pods were roomy with lots of charging ports and a computer! Toilets/showers nice and clean, towels provided. Only issue was room was very warm initially and the air con in the pod was noisy and had a bright light!Attendant was very friendly and helpful, and the Manga/hentai library that doubles as the reception was crazy! Over 40,000 comics apparently. Not sure if I'd do it again, but cheap and sci-fi!

I really enjoyed my stay. Though it was pretty brief, the management was very amiable and hospitable. When I required a space for a quick meeting, they immediately made arrangements for it in the manga cafe just across the road.

I was riding my bike across from Okayama to Tokyo, but couldn't find a place to stay, so I came here because of the price. I was happy that the store clerk explained things in an easy-to-understand manner. However, it smells like mold, the air feels bad, and it feels dusty. I fell asleep because I was tired. However, in the morning, the person who has lived here for a long time, who looks like an old woman, is very noisy (lol), but it was a great experience because I was able to talk to a lot of people after this experience! I couldn't get rid of the fatigue đŸ„Č

The futon was hard, but the room was SF-like and clean, so I enjoyed it. Especially if you are good at computers! I thought it was just a shower, but there was also pasta tap. (There is also a public bath nearby.) Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towel, 2 thick towels, disposable slippers, razor, hair dryer, and toothbrush are provided. It might be a good idea to bring something like light pajamas. Although it was compact, it felt thoughtful and comfortable. Personally, I'm glad that there's a maniac cafe nearby. Enjoy unlimited reading! When it rains, you can relax with your favorite manga. Is abura soba available here? is very delicious! Bicycles are free for up to 3 hours, so you can easily go to nearby Ginkakuji Temple, Komai Family Residence, Shimogamo Shrine, etc. Above all, the manager was kind and frank, so I felt at ease. I would like to stay again. (Please note that Google Maps points to a different location)

No complaints other than the location is difficult to access from Kyoto Station. The guest rooms are larger than other capsule hotels, and there are about 20 guest rooms, so there is less chance of having problems with snoring or noise. You can also use the manga cafe across the street for free, and you can bring your own manga. I could use a computer and watch movies on Cinema Channel.

I used it as a travel accommodation.Check-in is at Manyudo (manga cafe) next door, and you can also use that if you stay the night. The person who appeared to be the store manager had a great service spirit and responded in a friendly manner. The capsule hotel has a futuristic, gaming-like feel that you won't find anywhere else, and the interior was spacious for a capsule hotel. Also, there was a PC installed in the capsule hotel so I could watch YouTube while sleeping, and it was also equipped with a USB and power cable, which was very comfortable. There was also a sink and a bath. However, there were other customers who were acting strangely, so it was a little scary.

The reception is at the Manga Cafe across the pedestrian crossing. This time, my family and I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The location is good as it's close to the bus stop and there's a convenience store right next to it, and it's also equipped with a clean shared shower room and toilet, so I'm happy with the price. The mattress is hard but acceptableIt seems that you can bring in manga from the shop, so I would really like to give this hotel a 5 star...An elderly woman who seemed to be staying there for a long time with the restaurant's permission was so loud that I could hear her talking to herself even with earplugs in.It doesn't seem to matter whether it's early morning or late at night.Other than that, when I was working at a table in the common lobby that was wide enough to seat four people, someone would ask me, ``Can you please move away so I can have lunch and take my medication?'' even though I moved to the edge. While I was getting ready in the morning in the bathroom, an elderly woman in the shower room kept looking at me through the gap in the door...There were many strange behaviors, and there were many stressful situations during my stay. .There were other incidents that made me angry, and when I directly told the elderly woman, ``Why don't you tell me exactly what you're dissatisfied with,'' the woman locked herself in the shower room without saying a word... .My hands couldn't stop shaking from anger for a while.Judging from other people's reviews, it seems like they've been staying here for several months, so I thought we might run into each other the next time I use the place, but I can't just say it was just a strange customer. I don't feel like repeating it.
