There is nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The environment is very comfortable. There is a faint scent of cypress trees as soon as you enter. The surrounding area is also very quiet and comfortable. But I have to talk about the hotel's service.I went with my old friends. Since they didn’t speak Japanese or English very well, I had lived in Kyoto for 6 years, so I accompanied them to check in and helped translate. However, the hotel waiter seemed to assume that I was the driver. When we arrived at the lobby together, the three of us were only provided with two drinks. This may be due to hotel regulations, but it can only be considered a bit stingy. What made me particularly angry and incomprehensible was that when there were many parking spaces, I applied to drive my car to the parking lot for a short stay. I wanted to wait for my friends in the lobby to rest for a while and then go out to eat together, but the hotel waiter was very attitude. He coldly asked me to wait in the car on the side of the road. The roadside is not too wide, and there are no parking signs. If the parking lot is full, I can wait in the car, but the parking lot is very empty, but I was refused.I negotiated with the hotel and asked why other guests' cars could enter the parking lot but our car couldn't. The answer I got was absurd and ridiculous. They said that the car driven by the guest could enter the parking lot, not the car driven by the guest. That won’t work.In fact, I probably understand what the hotel is thinking. They think I am a driver for pick-up and drop-off services? Just because I'm a foreigner who can speak Japanese?I know that there are indeed some illegal drivers. They usually drive Toyota Alfas, but I drive a BMW X5. It is my 8th year of running a company in Japan. Why should I be treated as a driver? Just because I can speak Japanese and translate for the guests, I am the driver? There are many hotels in Kyoto. This was the first time I encountered this kind of service. I called the hotel twice and asked for an apology. Then I met the rude waiter who completely ignored us and was even a little arrogant. It seems that not only the hotel's staffing is poor, but its management is also lacking.Guests who have service requirements can simply avoid this hotel. Foreigners who live in Japan should also be careful when coming here to meet friends. No matter how hard you try to achieve success at work, as long as you are a foreigner who can speak Japanese, you may be treated as a shady driver here. driver treatment.I will definitely not recommend any friends to stay in this hotel in the future. The hotel has put a lot of effort into its hardware facilities, but this experience made me sick to my stomach.

I visited Anto for lunch. When I entered the hotel about an hour and a half early, the staff told me, ``The store will be crowded with customers checking out, so please leave the store and come back at the last minute at 12:00.'' Even though I'm coming from far away. Will it be that much of a nuisance if I'm the only one sitting there? As I was about to exit through the outer door to leave, another male staff member said to me, ``The Anto you have booked will not be able to enter the hotel, but you can enter from the outside.'' There is an entrance on the left side.''His tone was so typical of Kyoto that he told me not to come to the hotel just for food. Also, even though the store was on the "right" from my point of view as I exited the hotel entrance,Even when the staff explains that it is “on the left”,The explanation was very difficult to understand, and I felt like it was third-rate in every way.The hotel reception is also very small. It's far from a luxury hotel.I felt that the level of customer service was below the price. The customer service at Anto didn't come very often even when I called them at the bell, but they were quick to pick up the plates after I finished eating, and they kept coming into the private room in the middle of a conversation, so to be honest, I couldn't relax. It was also very unpleasant that they tried to lower my plate even though there was still food left on it.The tone of voice when serving customers is at the same level as that of an izakaya, and it does not have the atmosphere of a high-class restaurant where it is difficult to make reservations. If you were to visit this hotel, I think the nearby Miyako Hotel is far more luxurious and has a higher level of customer service. I will never visit here again.*This is just my personal opinion.

I'm Australian, first time in Japan and simply love Fufu Kyoto. Service is first rate, room is large, spacious and comfortable with all modern amenities expected. The bathroom is spectacular and sleeping arrangements luxurious. Highly recommend.N.B. In Japan many hotels book per person NOT per room. Fufu Kyoto can be by person so ensure you check when booking. Byer beware.

This hotel is wonderful, I’m on night 3 of my trip and I’m leaving my review early because I LOVE this hotel.I am a frequent traveller and have stayed in some of the worlds best hotels, this hotel for a smaller chain, in my opinion, is rewarding of high stars. The venue is beautiful, internal onsen is great, the staff are friendly and helpful (they ALWAYS greet us with a smile), the taxi service is quick, Japanese traditional breakfast is awesome.I have come here with my parents (we are Australian) and my partners family (they are Japanese) and we all agree this hotel is great. My partners parents being returning customers.I’m super confused by the low level ratings as I can’t relate to any of these issues.I’d recommend this hotel to all my friends.Thank you :) from Room 408!☀️☀️
