We booked this hotel to be in the city centre of Kyoto, close to the action for the Gion Matsuri festival: the most famous festival in Japan which takes place in July. …

Almost everything was OK. Unfortunately the air conditioning was leaking. It dripped all night. You could hardly sleep. When we told the staff this, they didn't seem very interested. The hotel changed name and probably owner.

We stayed here for a couple nights right before it became a Travel Lodge and it was a very nice hotel in a good location. It is walking distance to all the restaurants and shops but far enough away that you aren't right in the middle of a busy street (which I prefer). The room was much larger than we expected and very clean! They also provided all the toiletries you could possibly need! I'd definitely stay here again.

Super good hotel for its price and nice staff rooms are super clean. You get your towels replaced every day. The rooms are super comfortable. The pillows are interesting because they feel like beanbags but overall super good place. Also location is supreme. We’re close to the bus station that goes everywhere.

The staff response is very friendly. I had a serious cancer odor in the first room I was assigned to, so I requested a different room and they gave it to me right away. However, in the room that was changed, there was something unknown... sticky... on the remote control. That japchae is really unpleasant. The view is a view that feels close to the building next door, making it feel 10cm away.
